I don't agree with ya, though. I was trying to get a Wii for months before I finally got one. The games I wanted were all first party. My second or third game was Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, a game I already owned on Gamecube, because there just wasn't anything available that I wanted.

Even now, there's just a handful of third party Wii games that I ever owned. Most of them sucked balls. Meanwhile there's plenty of Wii U third party games I'm interested in. The Gamepad is awesome, btw.

Interesting.

for me, The Wii U has a lot of games that i can already play on PS3.

The Wii exclusive 3rd party games grabbed me more than the ones on Wii U.

I couldn't wait to try some of those games on the Wii. I dont care too much to try Tank Tank Tank or Scribblenauts as much on Wii U. The excitement just isn't the same

I think the Gamepad would be that much more awesome if it WASN'T the main controller lol

Well, yeah.  A lot of the Wii U games I want/purchased are available on the PS3/360 but the gamepad use (ie: Watchdogs, Rayman) sways me in Nintendo's direction.  I'm aware I'm in the minority, though.   Seems like a lot of people just don't care for the (awesome) pad like I do.

Also, you space your reply out a lot.  By the time I got to the bottom, I was sleepy.

Quality third party Wii games were usually exclusive, which isn't the case with the majority of third party Wii U games.

Wii U has a fuck ton of exclusive games. They're mostly shovelware, though.

Some good ones like Sonic, Zombi U, Lego City, Scribble Nauts (two of 'em!) and a couple of others exist. About as compelling as the other third party list, wouldn't you say? Hell, I personally think these games are of higher quality than those game in their day. Neither list had what I'd call a system seller, though.

LOL!

That's the way i type. I just feel more comfortable spacing my comments out

The Gamepad is alright but i just feel like it doesn't add anything exciting coming off the Wii

Like why do i want to look down at the screen? Like how is this supposed to be enhancing my gaming experience after what i experienced with the Wii Mote.

If you were Nintendo during the 6th gen, you would say "how could we bring the same experience that we created on the DS to our next gaming console?". You would think "Maybe we should add a touch pad to the controller?" and that would have been nice for the time but these motherfuckers went beyond that. They didn't turn the controller into a touch screen, these BEASTS turned your TV into a touch screen!

..Shit was just more fun with the Wii Mote

My aunt doesn't even care about the Wii U these days and she was one of the main ones going crazy over the Wii. She's not a gamer at all and she wanted the Wii back then. Now she wants a PS4. I have no clue what the fuck she wants it for so i had to go out of my way to explain the Wii U to her because i felt she would want it more. After explaining that it had a new touch controller and wasn't the Wii Mote anymore, she just wasn't ethused by it at all... She still kept talking about the PS4 so i said "What the fuck do you want a PS4 for?" and she actually tried to ARGUE ME DOWN about getting a Wii U

It's weird because she loved the Wii and she still plays Wii Fit to this day. She just did not want the Wii U. There are a lot of other people i know who are just not interested in the Wii U and what it has to offer but were the same people who wanted and enjoyed their time with the original Nintendo Wii

It's the Gamepad

I already know them

No digital games?

Honestly Nintendo should've just released "Wii 2" in fall of 2011.

- Wiimotion Plus in every box
- 2x-3x the raw graphics capability of a PS3/360 w/2GB RAM
- Zelda: Skyward Sword and The Last Story as a launch titles (1080p resolution).

And then rolled out Nintendo Land + Wii Tablet Pad in 2012 for $99.99 (ala Wii Fit) as an accessorie and maybe made an optional Nintendo Land/Tablet Pad bundle for 2012.

It may not have been the most inspired route to take, but they'd probably be sitting pretty with a 12-15 million userbase right now even if the system had some sluggish sales periods.

Looking at the Wii sales, Christmas 2010 seemed to be the last big holiday for the Wii. They simply waited too long. The 3DS having so many problems out of the gate really set them back too, I think they became entirely fixated on that problem.

Its 2013, going into 2014. With GTA5 selling over 20 million copies, COD as more than 5 million, Ghost No one console will Assassins Creed at 2 Million, Bioshock Infinite at around 3 Million, and I can point out many many more games,

No 1 console will survive without 3rd party support.

Online multi-player is also a huge area in which games sales are judged. Gamer's are playing online at an alarming rate.

If the Wii-u does not fix those 2 issues, its game over for them..... Keep on Gaming.

That is not the real reason, nice try though bro.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Yeah, I think the op is completely off on this one. The Wii U is trying yet again to provide different ways to play a game. That's Nintendo's thing. If you take that away then what would be the draw for people too the Wii U? It would still have the stigma of being a "kiddie" console, so it still wouldn't draw PSand Xbox fans to it, but it would also remove those people interested in buying the Wii U out of curiosity of the gamepad. You would also remove off tv play which is a LOT of peoples (including myself) draw to the console. Granted Iove Nintendo's first party, but it's still an advantage over the other systems.

As far as I see it, I just think the Wii U needs those new titles that the Wii had but make them exclusive. Like say a good Crystal Bearers game, a new No More Heroes, Mad World, Last Story 2, Pandoras Tower 2, it's getting Bayonetta 2, just some continuations of games or first time games that are known and loved, but in HD and give it the online support the original Wii never could.

The bottom line is there is a pro controller available, do you really think that $50 difference will sway the truely interested in the console? I do not.
