Ironically, X1 has better games now and on the horizon.....

But they didn't get a year head start, multiplats aren't on their side, and they are more expensive.

The opposite was the trifecta that kept Sony in their place for years. So yes, they did loose their lead.

It seems you are unaware of PS4 games coming on the horizon because it's the total opposite, XB1 has nothing to compete with all the games coming on PS4

"nothing"

Now aren't you silly. Now I am not sure about quantity or how the metas will pan out, but I do know that Titanfall and Halo 5 will be the big exclusive blockbusters that frankly PS4 doesn't have anything exclusive that can compete. Yes I know Titanfall isn't technically exclusive, but its on X1 and not PS4

Titanfall and Halo 5 are hardly sufficient enough to differentiate a console from its competitor, especially when both games fall in the exact same genre. The PS4, on the other hand, has a much, much more diverse lineup. The PS4's exclusives covers genres such as racing (Driveclub), TPS (Uncharted, The Order), sandbox (Infamous: SS), and RPG (Guerilla's new IP). The XBone, however, has only one strong flavor while all of its other flavors are considerably weak.

Have we a Psyc among us?

You talk about games that are not released or have any substantial information.

Do you know if The Order and Uncharter will be launched in 2014?

Do you if Guerrilla new IP is realy a RPG? And will be launched before 2015?

But finally you just ignore every other Xone exclusive already launched or anounced, Ryse, DR3, Forza, Black Tusk and Fable...

Did I say that they will be released in 2014? I did say that the PS4's lineup is set for the next 3 years. If you are wondering what PS4 exclusives will be released in 2014 for sure, well there is Infamous: SS, Driveclub, Shadow of the Beast, N++, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, MLB 14: The Show, Deep Down, Yakuza Ischin, and Rime. Add onto the fact that there are many other games that will be released on only PS4 and PC such as FInal Fantasy XIV, Primal Carnage: Genesis, The Witness, and Secret Ponchos.

Diverse.....when its best launch game is a FPS, something COD and BF4 are a better purchase anyway.....versus a solid gameplay F2P fighter, zombie slayer, and Race Sim. Xbox ironically has diversity going for it right now while Sony went with the shooter. 2014 can allow the Xbox to go with what it does best. Quantum Break and Project Spark also come to mind. Theres others sure but I am thinking of the big names.

Looking back to specific years of last gen, only a few games come to mind per year. These were the games that stood out, nobody will remember every single exlcusive of 2014 in 10 years time, just the ones that made the biggest splash in some way.

Just saying at least in terms of big AAA blockbusters that get the heavy marketing and buzz, X1 has Halo 5 and Titanfall. PS4 has Uncharted, if it is confirmed for 2014. The rest will be hits sure, but not blockbusters.

Clearly, launch titles are indicative of the diversity of a console's library /s Yeah.... try harder. You seem to forget that the vast majority of Sony's 1st party studios have not announced their titles yet. It doesn't matter if the games are blockbuster or not. They are still games. The main reason people buy consoles is not because of a few games, but the value their console of choice offers. The XBone's library is not that diverse especially when it is already being thinned out on exclusives. The PS4's library, on the other hand, is set for the next 3 years. In addtion to Sony's 1st parties, the PS4 will most definitely get exclusive support from other developers such as Namco Bandai (Tales series), Level-5 (Ni No Kuni 2?), Quantic Dream, Nippon Ichi (Disgaea series), Gust (Atelier series), and Atlus (Persona series). Within the next 5 years, the PS4 will have plenty of FPS's, TPS's, sandbox, action adventure, JRPG's, SRPG's, thrillers, racers, platformers, and sci-fi's. The XBone cannot compete with that even if it has the best FPS's in the world. A dish that superbly excels in one flavor, but is mediocre on others cannot be considered a good dish. A dish that excels in multiple flavors, though not superbly, will always be the better dish because it's delicious on all aspects.

Launch is part of a library......tell Sony to try harder. Look, I am full aware Sony will win through in the long run while MS, at least now, is prepared for only the next couple years. Sony has the numbers (of devs) and MS doesn't.

Im talking 2014 and at least from what we know now, X1 has a shot to have a more impactful year. Quantity and metacritic is anybodies guess. But at least I can say Halo 5 and Titanfall will have more people talking, more buzz, more frontloaded sales. The core gamers will still appreciate every good game that comes their way, but I am talking big picture......the shooter casuals and mass gamers in general. They follow the buzz, the next big thing everyone is talking about.I am sure the quality will be there in both games to back up their buzz, but I digress.

Offcourse this is just to do with games. Sales is a different matter, as the thing sells on geographical preference and pricing alone.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

The Xbox 360 was a great console, but not as great as the PS3.

First of all, the X360 was easily hackable/crackable compared to the PS3 which is still hard/not possible to crack, hence why Microsoft insisted on the DRM/Anti-piracy policies.

Which in turn was a HUGE mistake because neither the PS3 nor most of the X360 owner want these change.

Then there is the fact that X360 was released one year earlier (which was a good decision to reach high sales) but eventually it was outsold by the PS3, which in turn continues to sell and more importantly, welcomes new exclusive AAA title which maintain the appeal of the console and brand.

So, Third Party Exclusives are importante, hun!?

And obscure PC games that no one cares either.

Yes, but Xbox One still has other advantages, Kinect is better than PS Eye, more multimedia features, better launch titles.

Sony with time will drown them in exclusives. I am sure Microsoft is prepared to pay for tons of exclusives and timed exclusives though.

Why not? Spending money worked wonders for Sony in the 5th and 6th generations, and MS in the 6th and 7th generation.

Sony spent money on GTA to be a timed exclusive. Eventually it went to Microsoft. Microsoft spent the first three years of the seventh gen keeping legions of games away from Sony. It was so bad it made Sony look like they had no games. When I had a 360 we used to make fun of my friends who had PS3's without games. Of course in 2006 I didn't know about moneyhatting at the time and I wasn't into marketing at the tiime. Sony didn't need to spend a dime to keep games away from Nintendo. Look up the history of Sony. Sony had advantages in the 5th generation because of format gave third parties more space to use and they had better third party relatioships. Not only that, third parties can take risk on being exclusively on  your cut of the markshare because you command the mass majority of the people. This is the same reason Nintendo doesnt need to pay every third party for being exclusive on the DS. Sega botched the launch of the Sega Saturn and turned third parties off making them jump ship to Sony during the fifth generation. By the time the sixth generation happened Sony had amassed so many partnerships all they had to do was lay back. Microsoft is no different. Microsoft made moneyhatting a huge thing during the seventh generation and Sony knew they couldn't fight back against that. The only major moneyhat Sony is known for against Microsoft was paying Rockstar fifty million dollars to keep the GTA away from Microsoft until the trilogy was finished. Even I said that was fucked up but what Microsoft did soon after was horrible.

About which games you actually talk? Which games Microsoft paid that Sony did not get them? The only thing meaningful I know Microsoft paid for was that Xbox 360 get the DLCs for GTA4 at first but other than this?

Two "blockbuster" titles in a year is hardly sufficient, as I have said before. Also, we don't even know if Titanfall is going to achieve Halo status, especially when its hype is mostly coming from XBO fans. Heck, we don't even know how Halo 5 is going to do especially since Corrinne Yu joined Naughty Dog.

And I really don't know why you keep mentioning Metacritic. The fact that Killzone: Shadowfall is the best selling launch exclusive between the two consoles despite having a lower average than Forza 5 and DR3 is telling enough. Heck, even Knack sold decently despite its low average.

Your spinning is horrendously amateur. How is Final Fantasy XIV obscure? Jonathan Blow has gotten quite a bit of attention that it's quite safe to say that The Witness is not obscure.

Why you stated that third party exclusives are important is beyond my comprehension. I am saying that the PS4 has a lot of 1st party exclusives and then some from 3rd parties. Your lack of elaboration and immediate resortment to nonsensical spinning is amusing... -_-"

Just saying to consider the mass gamer market, which only buy a couple/few games a year based on buzz and what "everyone" is buying. Yes, we core gamers who actually care about gaming savour each good game like a fine wine, but we are hardly representative of the entire install base/prospective buyers. For those people, which constitute the majority, 2014 Xbox will be known for Halo and Titanfall, PS4 for.....Uncharted? The rest will be great but will simply fall under the mass radar, on both sides.

But talking about people like us, there is diversity on both sides, just a matter of seeing if the quality can back them up. 2014 will actually be a close year for games all things considered.

I mention metacritic because we can't brag about games if they score below 70. That is just how things are. Sales and metacritic are different things all together.

I'm not so sure Titanfall 2 will be on PS4. If it proves to be a system seller and reviews as well as it's being hyped I can see Microsoft throwing money at EA to keep it X1 only.

Infamous is the PS4's launch windows most hyped game. It looks great from what I've seen but it's never done crazy sales wise. That said now it the time to get new people to play your IP's.

Titanfall is the X1's launch window ace up it's sleeve whilst it's not technically exclusive the marketing push behind it suggests it's best played on X1. Will it resonate with the mass market though?

You are funny. You are depreciating Xone line up for being third part exclusives like Titanfall, Ryse and Dead Rising 3.

Then when you have to name the PS4 greatness you go with third part games, indie games and even games that could be released on the Xone (I could say I realy don´t care about japanease games, but I will be polite) .

And finally you say "has a lot of 1st party exclusives ", ok if you think 3 or 4 per year are "a lot" I wouldn´t argue, however you deliberately forget about MS having 3 or 4 first part  games per year either.
