I would have gotten the Galaxy Gear if it wasn't so expensive and ugly... The rest are good but has much more limited functionality... I think Version 2 of the Galaxy Gear (when ever that comes out) or equivalent would be great

I think they are pretty stupid and I still dont get why you would want one if you already tend to carry a cellphone around with you everywhere (especially considering you need to have a cellphone in range I think to use the watches).

If there is one that works by itself (ie it's the same as a smartphone but smaller and comes with a wrist strap) then I think it could be pretty good... you are sacrificing screen size, and possibly some functionality, for it to be slightly easier to use and harder to lose/drop etc.

Personally I don't mind losing the bells and whistles stuff... what I want out of a smartphone is calls/text/camera and a browser. But I wouldn't like browsing on such a small screen.
Actually come to think of it typing with one hand on such a small screen would be an issue too, probably have to revert to the old phone keyboard style (triple tap '2' to get 'C' etc)... maybe that's why most of the actual ones are just tie-ins for proper smartphones.

Worthless imo. They do not replace a Smartphone not even close. So you have to still take one with you. And as watches they are like the modern cheap plastic digital wristwatch.

Looks kind of interesting but the limited functionality compared to smart phone and the cost puts me right off, also i agree with Porcupine_I, I think at some point people will make fun of them. It's your cash of course, but I'd say you'd be better off buying a really nice phone, or a proper watch if that's what you want
