I quite liked reading this article. Thought people might find it interesting. No doubt the trolls and console warmongers will be in here soon, though. Note that neither I nor the article suggest that Wii U will necessarily win in the long run.

Indeed it is winning, for now, and has more titles available, for now.
All you would expect from a console that's already been on the market for a year.......

Am I missing something here? Completely failing to get the point of this article other than to state the obvious to clickbait nintendo fans.

Your forgetting games like GTA V and COD there buddy. While you keep playing "quantity" games, I'll be playing "quality" games.

I never said that. A good game can sell well or sell poorly for many reasons. I'd play it regardless of how it sells. Either way.

I won't avoid a game just because it appeals to the masses, but at the same time I won't buy a game because of it.

If it's sooo good then why does the rest of the market think differently ? To buy a game must mean that it's probably a good game because you don't spend your money on trash games. Therefore it speaks volumes about a games quality by the masses. SALES = QUALITY

Nope. SALES = POPULARITY.

Popularity can derive from quality, but also for less savoury reasons.

So why would people be buying themselves a bad game then ? 

You're having a hard time letting go and accepting the fact that people aren't infallible. They buy and buy into crap all of the time.

If the masses were truly stupid then why do they also dissociate from the bad games you hardcore gamers hate then ? Because much like you they think the game is likely trash like Too human or duke nukem forever.

Good, because it won't. Using metacritic, PS360 have well over 50 90+ rated titles, Wii has around 12.

Not using Meta because as time goes on I realise how silly it is) PS4 and XB1 will have far more third party games, it won't be a year before their libraries eclipse the WiiU's.
