Forums - Sales Discussion - WiiU overtracked in the US by 120k+

I don't understand, if you're going to adjust numbers you do it to make them more accurate, not less.

WiiU is at 1.6m end of November, with 65k this week (Seems too much based on average US weekly).

It's still overtracked in France and the UK as well.

Wii U still doomed?

I also think it's over tracked...

How many Wii U's did they forecast this year? 9m?

Give it time. The numbers will be corrected.

Xbone overtracked as well. The Ps4 is above is now.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

Post-holiday adjustments will correct the numbers, tough season to track right now!

Not when you have the data handed to you.

(Yes the other consoles are over as well, I'm tired of pointing out that the 360 is a whopping 1m+ overtracked in the US tho)

I made this topic because adjustments made WiiU less accurate, that isn't the point of adjustments!

Well, that's true I suppose, with initial alleged BF week sales being 85-90% of the actual totals for the entire month of November in NPD, there's clearly something amiss. I imagine it's at least 100k in Europe as well, both the 360 and PS3 have been adjusted heavily in the last weeks and the 3DS shows just how difficult it can be to correctly track during the holidays. All in all, the Wii U is likely overtracked by at the very least 200k worldwide, that's close to 5% of lifetime totals and the equivalent of about 3.7 million PS3's in margin of error.

Indeed, this week is overtracked too for sure. US at 65k suggests (with holiday weekly gains) the US will do 350k~?! I don't think so!!
