Forums - Sony Discussion - So is Ps4 sold out in your country/city?

I went to look at stores and it seems that the PS4 and Xbox oen isn't being sold as of now. They said it was going to come sometime halfway through December but it wasn't the case.

Eitherway the PS4 seems to have ads all over Buenos Aires! But there is not a lot of hype for it. There are some stands for people to play Knack and Killzone but everyone seems to see approach the console, grab the controller, and play for a good 3 minutes and leave it there.

I think it's the problem will be the price, the two consoles are bieng sold at "Mercadolibre" (kinda like E-bay) and the prices go up to the AR$ 8500 to as high as AR$ 12500... One thing is for cetain though, Argentinians are not going to move to next gen like that when a fucking PS3 costs AR$3500. Even more considering even a game costs about AR$800 now.

Returned mine. 1 in stock in Canada - Montreal.

Bought it for Killzone, left disappointed. Will wait for Final Fantasy XV.

Are you expecting a pricedrop before it comes out?

I thought the official price was for PS4 6499.  Those prices are because of low supply I suppose (like everywhere else).

Yeah it's true that's the price in Sony Stores! That's not the only retailer here though, those other retailers have no stock as of now and they did say it was coming in December... It never came. Their prices will be higher than the official one though.

The official price for it is still very high compared to a Xbox 360 and a PS3 and most people here don't have too much disposable income.

I think that the PS4 and Xbox One will be a good choice at the end of the generation though. That's the case here in Argentina. It takes a lot of time for people to upgrade to the next generation. I think in 3 or 4 years the Xbox One and PS4 will be a solid purchase.

The ridiculous prices on "Mercadolibre" must be because the consoles didn't launch at most of the retailers and people are getting the console from other countries to resell it here.

The Wii U is facing a big trouble too. The stock they send is REALLY low and games have minimal stock because there is too little demand for the system. It's quite hard to get hold of some games! Some games are not even sold here if they flopped too hard. The Wonderful 101 was never on sale here...

I think the scenario will be better in a couple of years, meanwhile the PS3 and Xbox 360 are starting to sell really well here.
