I was wondering, we always pay lots of attention to Japanese gamers, lots study it's gaming past to see which will do good, we always wonder why certain games will sell and why others won't, etc.

But are there many people in Japan that actually care how consoles are doing in America or Europe? Do they see a game like Gears of War and wonder why it will sell so much here, pay lots of attention to upcoming games, etc. like we do with them?

I'd like to think that there are hardcore Japanese gamers who follow the market outside of Japan and can predict our tastes/sales, much like how we try to do with them.

It makes me feel warm inside.

Western games rely too much on violence. Japanese are more into fantasy type games.

for they sold almost a million in the first three days
