My favorite limited editions have got to be the ones for Snake Eater 3D, Dream Drop Distance, and Tri G...
I don't believe any of them we released outside of Japan (possibly the KH one but I really doubt it)...
Please google them so we can all gush together...

I too had my eye on the orange model when it was first shown, I wonder why it never eventuated? Nintendo haven't exactly been shy about releasing new colours and limited editions.

The model I most wanted though was the prototype clear 3DS XL that was teased. What ever happened to clear handhelds?

I changed 3DS XL 4 times. First Blue XL (sold) - Pink XL (sold) - Pikachu XL (sold) - Zelda XL. This shiny gold 3DS XL is just fantastic and I will keep it.

Well, it doesn't keep me up at night, but probably my GameBoy Advance. I like that it's clear (see-through), but it's the pinkish/purplish one. I'd rather have had the NES-controller styled GBA SP that came out later. And my GameBoy Pocket is too yellow for my taste, would've gotten another color if I'd buy it now, but it's not 'ugly'.

I usually buy black.

The ones that I remember that I had was a black DS, black PSP (all of them) black Vita. I think I had a silver GBA and the classic white-ish GB.

But I mostly buy everything black, the fingerprints and scratches don't appear as bad.

have the gold 3ds xl. doesn't count but it's still a color so I don't know why it shouldn't count.

I'm fairly sure that the upper screen inside needs to be black.Like the area around the speakers, if it's any other colour or distraction that your eyes will focus on it would take away from the 3d effect if you were using it. Even on the blue/red/purple 3ds's that area is always Black.

black psp, black vita, black xperia SP.
I regret sometimes when a deal for a limited edition console comes along, but the truth is i just got the standard one because I couldnt wait for what may or may not have been released after a year =/

Lets see. No to all but two. The DS is red, because it was cheaper and the PSP is silver, wich doesnt bother me, but i'd rather black. It was a stock problem at the time.
Got a standard balck Vita and a Zelda special edition black 3DS. So, im happy with the new ones.

This was only the case for the 3DS. The 3DS XL screen is large enough for this not to matter, the white-base 3DS XL models all have white inner top areas.
