Agree with everything, I really am enjoying the game and I do feel the price tag is justified.

I will say that GT7 needs to have some vast improvements because 300 more cars and 5 more tracks isn't going to do it for me.
And I'm getting tired of the emphasis on the stupid Mazda, there's freaking like 25 Mazda's and they all look similar???
Granted if it had more European or American cars then the Japanese would be complaining so not a big deal. Just wish there were more Mustangs.

Mazdas? There are 147 damn Nissan cars in this game. It's just ridiculous. And at least they have the GT500 and the Boss 302 in this game. They still don't have a Camaro ZL1, the new Z28, or even a 1LE. All they have is the old heavy Camaro SS from 2010.

Don't get me started about the freaking Nissan's. Stupid Skylines!

Around the Network

I wonder why having a lot of choice bothers people so much...
You don't have to drive every Nissan, Mazda or Honda. A Japanese game focusing on Japanese cars, how dare they.

Thanks for the heads up. im shocked PD would release a broken game.

it's not broken, nor did i say it was. It's simply the same game as GT5 with a different design focus.

1.) The graphics are definitely not as sharp as before. Say what you want about motion blur and lighting, but I can definitely tell that GT5 had better looking car models and environments. I think this is something that PD knew about, and this is why you don't have the option of looking at your cars in different lighting patterns anymore (in GT5, you could change it in the showroom).

2.) However, the frame rate, loading times, and number of things available on screen has definitely improved as well. I think that the races load two or three times as fast now.

3.) The UI is very well thought out and very easy to navigate. Since things are so much faster now, you can get from one thing to another much more quickly.

4.) The race layout is much cleaner and more intuitive. Before, the licenses felt really useless and now they've integrated them into the main campaign nicely. Recommended cars and having all vehicles under their respective showrooms (instead of that dumb used car section) are definitely helpful.

5.) There's still no qualifying in the campaign races. Wtf is this? Or is it something that appears in the later parts? IA maybe? If it doesn't, I'm taking a dump on the box.

6.) The sounds of the engines still need work. If I hit a car or a wall, there's this dumb glitch where the car just suddenly sounds like a vacuum cleaner, even though the gear didn't change.

7.) What's with the in-game music? It's like an homage to 80s rock and roll rejects.

8.) AI is still stupid, but hopefully it improves in higher difficulty races. I'm running cars well under the performance point limit, and I still haven't come close to being threatened to losing once.

All in all, GT6 is GT5. The differences are very very small, but it's definitely a better game.

Please provide your level in the game. I'm currently on ib, having completed almost every side challenge. I disagree with 1 and 8 while I barely agree with 6 and 7.

Graphics are generally better. Better tracks, excellent lighting effects, amazing night time. Car models look magnificent, but lacking a tool to compare with the GT5 equivalents, I can only convey opinion regarding their quality.

AI keeps improving as game progress develops. AI drivers apply techniques, like late breaking, cutting the slipstream and ramming an opponent out of the driving line. Races get tougher and tougher. Up until "national a" I barely witnesses any challenge: easy victories and a rain of credits. Things get tougher after that.

Music is mostly jazz and metal stuff. Good or bad relies on opinion again, but the option is given to use your own mp3s, so no problem there.

Engine sound is realistic. To support that, I bought my own car in game and listened to the sound. Revving up was almost the same as in real life. Tire screeching is still weird, but...eh! I can't be objective about collision sounds, because I can't remember any sound from the one moment (in real life) I went off-road and rolled a couple of times. Sound was muted then.

All the above I give with every measure of respect to your own opinion on the game. I hope I've helped people form an image of the game experience as well. :)
