No, but Nintendo is eating its crow, looking at the sales and the rumored November sales of the Wii U.
Industrial accident is an understatement.

What are you talking about? I can only assume in regards to the sales of mario 3d world that you are trolling at this point? 380k first week without europe around the time the xbox one and ps4 were releasing. Sales are fine.

Sub 100k start in Japan, bombed in UK, doing very average on VGchart while being probably overtracked... The game is not succeeding, as simple as that.
3D Land was a success and that's why we got this game. If this game continue to sell as bad as that, then Nintendo will probably stop the experiment and give me back the Mario I like. That's my only concern at this point.

You admitted in a previous quote that you won't (and therefore haven't tried) the game yet. Maybe you should. It's a valid and worthy successor to Galaxy, and IS a proper Mario game.
Give it a shot and report back, otherwise you ARE just trolling. Do you even have a Wii U???

I have no Wii U yet. A brand new full 3D Mario would have sold me the Wii U this winter, but since we aren't getting this, my Wii U buy is seriously delayed. I will get it eventually for games like Zelda, Smash, MK8 and X, but the lack of a full 3D platformer is making Nintendo lost customers among his own fans, as my exemple shows.

Mario Galaxy 3 on Wii U wouldn't have fared any better. NSMB trounced sales of both Galaxy games combined and still couldn't push the Wii U.
It's over. I don't even think Nintendo will greenlight another 3D Mario for the Wii U. This is it, Nintendo already has given the system 1 2D Mario and 1 3D Mario, along with a Luigi expansion pack for the 2D one.
Wii U may not even sell to GameCube levels, I think Nintendo is not going to greenlight many more games for the Wii U going forward as development is expensive. I think their strategy will shift now to simply finishing up existing projects that are in development (with Zelda being the last big one) and letting that be that.
You'll get Mario Galaxy 3 (or whatever its equivalent is) .... on 3DS in 2015. Where is can sell 3x more. Enjoy.
I could maybe see Nintendo porting Galaxy 1/2 to Wii U in HD ala Wind Waker, as that would be cheap, so maybe there's that.
