Forums - Gaming Discussion - Should i trade my ps3 in for a Wii U?

What should be my Secondary Console for this gen? (PS4 primarily)

Wii U 258 72.68%

PS3 97 27.32%

Total:355

what's up folks! I'm back! With a another dilemma in my gaming life lol. Nevermind, so now where i finally got my ps4 i though about the future use for my ps3, and even though the Ps3 was my primarily choice for games this gen i started to doubt the future support for the ps3. Now there are games on ps3 i still want to play for example god of war: Acsension and south park: stick of truth. But beyond that there is not much as far as i know. So the Wii U started to look more and more promising to me as a SECONDARY homeconsole only for nintendo games for those who don't know: i love zelda, super smash, mario kart and i also would love to see a new metroid prime game on the wii U. However you get point right? I mean the ps3 won't be support too long while the Wii U is starting to get THE games, but that also means if i want to play some of my favorite ps exclusives like R&C,uncharted, god of war etc... i gotta wait a long time for them to release on the ps4 right? what shall i do? For those who own a Wii U, is it really as bad as many say? And btw. for those of you asking why i won't get a xbox one instead, that's because about 80-85% of the xbox one game library is the same as of the ps4's unlike with the Wii U. Excuse my format i'm on my iphone.

if you like the games, buy a WiiU....

When you think my english is bad...sorry for my bad english,    i'm from Germany. And yeees, sorry, that we've almost destroyed the whole world, blahblahblah

But...Persona 5.

eventhough i like jrpg's, i never tried persona...is it that good?

Well, since three of those Nintendo series' you said you love are known to be in development, with two of them coming next year, I'd certainly say the Wii U is for you, at least as a secondary console. Whether it's worth giving up your PS3 (and access to all PS3 games you currently own since the PS4 is not backward compatible) is up to you.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I would say yes, if it helps you get a Wii U at a good price. The PS3 will become more cheaper anyways. So its not like you won't be able to re-buy it.

Please walk into light, buy a wii u and join the good side.

Tales of Xillia 2, and Persona 5.

Those are my reasons for keeping my ps3. Besides mine is also fully BC with PS2 games so its rarity!

Since you have a PS4 just get a WiiU, though there won't be a lot of games, there'll be some quality ninty games which you'll appreciate.

If you can find a Wii U for $250 and really enjoy Nintendo games, I'd probably say yes, provided you've already played "The Last of Us".

Mario 3D World + $20 copy of Zombi U + NSMBU or Zelda: WW bundled with the system should keep you busy until next year's crop of games like DKC: TF start rolling out.
