With the second installment of the Hobbit Trilogy releasing in five days, I thought someone should be the bringer of jolly hype to the VGC forums. And that someone is moi. Here is one of the best trailers Warner Bros. has released to get your hype level bubblin':

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug releases on Dec. 13th in the US/Canadia and the UK and on Dec. 12 in New Zealand. Will you be seeing it? Are you going to see it Midnight premiere? And do you expect it to be better than An Unexpected Journey?

There! Now the video is working and all of the premiere dates are up. Start getting hyped, VGChartians.

Yes! Hyped as hell! I'm a huge fan of everything Tolkien, and the second movie should end up being better than the first. I'm wondering what's going to be left for the third movie though. After seeing whats going to be in the movie from the trailers I'm not sure how they are going to squeeze three additional hours out of that book after that.

Oh yeahhhh i'm hyped. it looks so badass

No.

I hated the first despite really liking the original trilogy.

Huge Disappointment, you could almost taste the filler stuff they put in to stretch the small book out to 3 films

No.

Wat. I need an explanation, Wright. At least Orniletter gave one.

Damn straight. Still wish they'd just made 2 movies or put out one every six months. The 3 will probably take longer to get through than the book.

I'll be going to a theater but probably a matinee between XMas and New Year. It should be better. Mirkwood and the Elf Kingdom are decent settings and Legolas will be a plus.

Hyper hyped! :)

Not really the Lord of the Rings series was phenomenal though. But the hobbit was just so bloated...
