I thought that was considered fake. Did these guys call you out for beating up your controller? They got very defensive when the couple of guys said this. 

I also think both systems were rushed. How were you not able to have the Xbox patch on the shipped system? How can you not play regular fucking DVD out the box with PS? These launches although a success are a mess to me. 

no 5-6hrs on COD ghost SP and another 15-20hrs on its MP noticed it after 2nd week, both sticks had peeling/wear off intial layer after the intial layer goes it wears much faster, im also an adult so i dont abuse my controllers

 

i noticed that aswell in the threads but after a lot more users reported it, it stopped and is taken more seriously i would even go and say that all the intial DS4 controles sticks will peel

Just been Inspecting my DS4 controllers, mainly been playing NFS Rivals and they do seem fine. Compared to the DS3 the DS4 does have softer rubber but imo it is a much better stick for it. Will keep an eye on them to see if it becomes an issue as they get more abuse. Does the stick feel different, lose grip after the wear you have experienced?

Sony can produce 1 million consoles top per month and the PS4 went into final phase of production like 3 months ago, 2.1 M has been sold and the rest will be sold this december so the shortage makes sense.

You do realize these have to be physically made right?  They aren't just wished into existance.  If Sony could have had 10 million ready, they would have.  But newsflash it takes time to make 10 million consoles!  Are you suggesting they should have just let most of them collect dust so everyone gets them at the same time?  

No they had to launch in time to blitz MS, and they clearly have.

no i couldnt tell by using it only once i looked at it since it was worn on teh upper right portion of both sticks more so on the left it was very little worn but i knew that if i continued using it it would wear all off like on the pictures from gaf, then you would be able to tell w/o looking.  i did notice that once it does start peeling you can physically rub it a just a few times and see it wear away on your finger, i tried rubbing it when new and even a new DS4 i recently bought and it doesnt show any deterioration when you just rub on them

Thanks. I have seen the posts on gaf now and it does seem like a genunie issue for some. I guess Sony will be looking into this and the next batch of contollers will be able to stand more abuse. Will keep an eye on mine as for now they seem fine. I am feeling left out, I need to game more to wear out my sticks. lol

Launch issues with supply are very common with any product. Comparing Apple's ipad to a console is laughable. An ipad is a singular device, as the consoles have multiple parts and 3rd party considerations.

No, they literally CAN'T keep up with demand. Almost every console can't keep up with demand at launch. It's usually a bad sign if they can.
