Possibly, but if we talk about the US then I'm pretty sure that the X1 will be sold out for christmas over there as well, so I can't really see a scenario of a desperate parent walking into a retailer trying to find a PS4 and instead leaving with an X1 since that is just lying there, happening very often. Simply said, supply issues right now will not hurt the PS4.

At some point it'd be good to realize that just cause something makes sense to you, it doesn't mean that everyone thinks that way. I read a post a month or so ago from an ms fan (he's been on the site for a long time, so I have no reason to doubt him), who said that a friend of his was planning to buy a xbone, but couldn't wait and bought a ps4 when he went to a gamestop. It sounds crazy, but it does happen. People who work at retail can attest that. Is it crazy? Is it stupid? Maybe. Point is, not everyone who does something that doesn't make sense to you is lying.

I gave up trying to find one this year. That sucks for someone trying hard to be an early adopter once on his life.

But I think it's better that way. There isn't a game until Watch Dogs and Destiny I really feel like buying, so I would be stuck on PS Plus games until then.

I was at best buy last week picking up and order when a guy came up behind me to RETURN a PS4.  It wasn't even opened.  I didn't hear what his reason for returning it was but I was amazed to see it.  I almost told him to sell it on ebay.
