Ellen succeeds at being funny without insulting people or using cheap shots. It's really easy for a comedian to be vulgar or to be mean spirited in their jokes (Ricky Gervais or Seth MacFarlane to a lesser degree).

So there's a silver lining with a host like Ellen. She's funny and she appeals to a wide demographic (unlike Billy Crystal who doesn't have appeal amongst a younger audience).

It's a brilliant move to have Ellen again. She has 24 million Twitter followers, 7.5 million Youtube subscribers, 12 million likes on Facebook, etc.

I personally loved Joel putting Tim Schafer on the spot about where the other $3million went.

Wasn't aware I hired this guy. Or anyone else watching the show. Let us whine, it's not like we don't deserve to.

*shrugs* I thought there was a surprising amount of content I actually found interesting in there.

- the telltale announcements, although the interviews were boring and badly done
- broken age demonstration
- Quantum Break trailer, although only mere seconds of actual gameplay was shown
- No Man's Sky trailer/interview
- The Division tech overview
- The Witcher 3 trailer with only some seconds of new scenes, but boy that game looks beautiful (probably maxed out PC version)
- Dying Light presentation
- even the Thief 3 trailers made me look forward to that game

and I liked some of Joel's jokes, he didn't ruin that show for me

Honestly I watched 10 minutes and just stopped. It just wasn't enjoyable but I don't really feel comfortable judging the show based on the fact that I don't really like any award show, find em all to be quite boring really. I feel it's more for the people close to the industry than anything else.

im laughing at everybody who watched the show. i said dont bother watching it people. i just tuned in at specific times to the stuff i wanted it. i just checked the schedule, and checked in at certain times.

I cannotsee how any gamer could see this as even decent or good for gaming. It was an embarassment, and should just stop all together. Their awards are a joke as is the show. It's a waste of time.
