Forums - General Discussion - Are you just saying VGX sucked to look cool? I actually thought it was decent...

Both the VGAs and this turd suck. Difference is, VGAs never really dissapointed me in REAL world premieres. This time around the annoucements were weak ass.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Suck my post apocalyptic ballz imposter! I had it at least an hour before you! It's mine

Edit. And the colours in mine are nicer! Win.

It didn't watch any VGAs, but if they're anything like that, then I wouldn't have enjoyed it.

I think the structure was a bit better, Joel McHale was sometimes awful and sometimes good.... I'm not sure what to think

But I agree with most people, there just wasn't the content. There were a few interesting things here and there, but no "megabombs"

The "viral" sections were poor though and I really didn't get the concert at the end

It definitely wasn't awful, wasn't great either

No, sorry bro. The whole thing was pretty awful. The hosts, the reveals, the awards and the awful concert.

Was there anything good announced? Don't have the energy to watch it.

Besides telltales games this is literally the only new game announcement, its a indie game made by 4 people and it looks pretty good.

It was three hours of my life I wish I had back. Joel McHale pissed me off. He seemed like he didn't even want to be there and was a bit rude with the guests. Geoff Keighly needs to be beaten senseless and permanently banned from all forms of social media in which he can continue to overhype and absurdly underdeliver.

No Man's Sky looked amazing for being done by only four people. The Witcher 3 looked stunning and the preview of The Division's visuals had my jaw dropping. Beyond that... the "world premieres" they had were mostly rubbish. The trailer for Quantum Break was still showing too much of what we've already seen before and while we learned a sliver more about the game we're still being left mostly in the dark. Destiny was no different. Essentially combining several already released trailers, showing a couple different angles, adding a few short scenes, and playing movie preview music over it doesn't exactly make for an impressive "world premiere".

The Titanfall videos were neat, especially the second one, but they didn't come with a bunch of information. The hype was making it sound like we'd learn all sorts of things about the game but it was just confirmation that different titan classes exist. Cool in itself but nowhere near what I was wanting. Also, whoever decided to put those idiots at the concert on the screen with a microphone needs to be shot. I also could have cared less for some musical performance from shit I hear driving down the road every day.

It was a joke. A sad joke and we bought into it.

Last years average VGA was immensely better, but if it's your opinion then eh, what can I say.

I didn't like Joel's hosting, I didn't find him funny and he took up time that Geoff could of used actually asking proper questions about the games.

I thought the structure of the event in terms of extended demos, interviews and stuff like that was quite good although I liked the whole crowd atmosphere from the VGA's too. The Rockstar "Music of GTAV" was Pathetic in my opinion.

As for the game reveals... They were pretty good, but they did not match previous years reveals at all, In previous years we've seen stuff like Skyrim, MGS5, The Last of Us, Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 2/3 and much more revealed at the VGA's.. This years reveals were by no means bad, I liked the look of No Man's Sky and I'm curious about what Telltale announced but they are not amazing announcements really.

Nintendo bringing DKC: Tropical Freeze to VGX was meh, But I was expecting it really considering it was about a previously announced title and DKC is there next big release. I'm still excited for that game so it was nice to see some new info about it nonetheless.

I thought the actual awards themselves were good for the most part.
