Xbox Live was getting a little hate last gen for having to pay for it, while the PS3 was free to play online.

Many Xbox fans predicted that sony would change their tune after seeing how successful Microsoft was with the paid subscriptions.

PSN is no longer free.

Is PSN worth the price or was Playstation fans just upset that people were paying for live and not for PSN.

Well, I'm not complaining because I never complained about paying for xbox live and still don't complain about paying for xbox live.

But to everyone else who was hating on xbox live's fees for online pay and aren't complaining about psn doing the same thing for the ps4, well, that's not my problem.

its a massive cash cow that MS was able to use to finance servers and online features, sony is using the same tactic.

BUT while you need ps+ to play online for retail games, f2p games you do not. You also get free games for being a ps+ member. these free games are on all 3 platforms, PS3, PS4 and Vita. You also get discounts on PS Store content. this gives you more VALUE for your money.

Maybe because the people who complained about Xbox live are not posting anymore or are not posting about loving PS+ on ps4? I honestly could care less what other people buy and don't really care about others having different opinions than me unless they are doing it for the sake of being a troll or something. I personally only pay for PS+ because, imo, the deals and free games are a great incentive to pay.
