This is what a lot of people are not factoring in. The 2ds is getting more shelf space in my local shops than the 3ds. Its obvious that with the low starting price and a vast library of top games that its viewed as a great option by people.
1: By how many console sales is the 3DS overtracked in the US on Black Friday?
2: By how many console sales is the 3DS overtracked in Europe on Black Friday?
3: By how many console sales will the 3DS decline in the US the week following Black Friday?
4: By how many console sales will the 3DS decline in Europe the week following Black Friday?
5: By how many console sales (and in what direction) will the 3DS fluctuate in Japan the week following Black Friday?
Can someone offer me realistic answers for these five questions that result in under 700k global hardware sales next week? Because I can't imagine such answers.

see ds numbers for 07, 08, 09 for the BF weeks and ask yourself this, is the 3ds actually undertracked?

I do think the 3DS is overtracked Black Friday week. But not by 300k, which is what it would have to be overtracked by to begin to justify 700k the next week.

Looking back at the 2 previous years, 3DS in December has sold roughly double what it sells in November. If this year sees a similar trend than December sales should be about 5-6m and with 3DS currently just under 12m for the year that would put it in the 16-18m range which is what my prediction has been all year

I forgot about that haha. They must be really pissed off at having only shifted 1.8m units last week!
