Why? It's going to get slain anyways..

It will probably end about 10 points Lower than GT5

I dont care how much more improved the game gets; The reviewers will still find some reason to slay it

I can just feel it

Sadly this might indeed happen. There is no way to evaluate a game the size of GT6 before release, and the notoriously slow start is going to irk reviewers as usual. Plus reviews nowadays feel like a long list of nitpicking to get to a final score. The bigger the game, the easier it is to find something to complain about.

Let's predict some points:
- Distinction between premium and standard cars is gone, however there are still loads of standard cars. Now you can't tell until after you have loaded the car in the shop.
- The HD versions of previous gen GT tracks, still look like, well HD version of previous gen GT tracks.
- Although weather and day/night have been improved, it's still not available on all tracks.
- The grind hasn't changed, it will take you a long time to reach level 40.
- Screen tearing on certain tracks on the ageing ps3.
- Long install time, plus better make some room on your old ps3, this game is a resource hog.
- Load times are a bit better after installation is finally done, but next to ps4 it feels painfully slow.
- Microtransactions, it will cost you over $5,000 to buy all cars.
- Some thing about online not doing it the same way as other games.

In conclusion this is the game GT5 should have been from the start. As it stands now the game world has moved on and GT feels like an ageing relic.
7/10

Reviewers will dock it some for the same things AI, lack of damage..Will still get good scores though, you cannot deny the wealth of content and great driving physics, which is really the biggest draw in GT games.

It's doesn't really matter what reviewers say about the game. It's going to sell boatloads anyway. 99 percent of reviewers aren't qualified to review this game, and wouldn't know what a good racing sim was if it hit them in the face.

GT is a game that doesn't need hype to sell. It sells because its GT and there's no equal.

I agree to some extent, sites like IGN, gamespot are clueless when it comes to race sims.

Like someone said, Reviewers reviews games when they first come out just to get views and be first. Problem is Gran Turismo 5 started super slow and had tons of updates and patches to fix and add things, but none of that would be accounted the review. Gran turismo 6 is going to have tons of downloads in the first month also so honestly, games like these, you shouldn't trust reviews. And like someone also said, Most gaming sites are clueless about racing games.

Eurogamer review is up 9/10

It's not finished. Even after a day one patch that brings in multiplayer, seasonal events and new special events, Gran Turismo 6 is far from complete. Even taking into consideration the course maker and associated GPS data logging that's due in the coming months or - and take this one with a pinch of salt - the improved sound effects that Polyphony Digital plans to patch in, it likely won't ever feel like the final article.

Gran Turismo 6 is broken and brilliant all at once, then, which seems destined to always be this series' way.

All the expected complaints are there, but the handling is great with tons of variety on offer.

- 1.2 GB day 1 patch.
- AI is more agressive and lifelike, but also has rubber banding to make up for the more dynamic AI
- Economy is the same, apart from the Seasonal events that don't have the big payouts anymore :(

And so, 15 years since its inception, Gran Turismo carries on its pursuit much as it always has, delivering a driving simulator that's as exhausting as it is exhaustive, as infuriating as it is intoxicating. As a foundation, Gran Turismo 6 is certainly more stable than its predecessor - and as a way to explore the thrill of four wheels it is, despite its many faults, exceptional, brilliant and pretty much peerless. It's not finished yet, but Polyphony likely never will be - and for now it's just delivered the broadest, most complete iteration of its epic vision.

Dat faux outrage about micro transactions when GT always required a lot of grinding for the best cars, but now they're giving the option to people with the money to buy them straight away, and yet its the people without money bitching about this. Or people who never played GT but just moan because microtransactions in a 60 dollar game is the hottest topic right now, yet they're unaware that nothing is missing from the game.

Well the jury is still out on that, the full quote:

The economy is, to all intents and purposes, identical to Gran Turismo 5's - prize cars aren't handed out quite so generously, but payouts are on a similar scale while car prices likewise remain frozen.
That's not to say it isn't a problem, though. Gran Turismo 5's economy was broken, an issue belatedly acknowledged by Polyphony in the implementation of seasonal events with bloated payouts that soon became the place to grind out credits. Seasonals are back, though right now the payouts are paltry in comparison to their predecessors, meaning the grind that faces players just before they unlock Gran Turismo 6's final tier is daunting.

So the fix to ease the long grind has been undone. That could ofcourse be added back in later. I also wonder if the 200% bonus for playing daily is still there.

But you're right, the grind wasn't that hard before the bloated seasonal events and login bonus. Believe me I had to start GT5 over from scratch due to ylod after reaching the highest tier. (Right before they unlocked savegames to be saved externally, talk about bad timing) The second time went a lot faster then the first, it certainly didn't feel like a grind.

Reviews come tomorrow at 8 AM (GMT) atleast from GameReactor Sweden (I suppose Embargo is then)

Knowing the reviewer and he has thrown hints: I would expect a 6/10. He gave GT5 a 7/10.

I think the game will be panned. Predicting metascore around 65-70.

Lol, no way.

You only needed to play the academy demo and read info about the game to know that simply isn't possible.

Hi there!

75, okay fine but I was close. Admit it.

GR gave it a 5/10, I expected 6/10 XD
