Why would they make 3DS games? What possible reason would they have for developing games for handhelds?

It would only make sense...

They already have PlayStation Mobile for smartphones, and SOE makes games for PCs with X360 controller compatibility.

In an ideal world, people would be able to buy one console and play any game they want. And that console would be able to play games from Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Steam, Amazon, GreenManGaming, etc. The console would be called a PC.

Yeah, just think about those classic Sony franchises in eye-popping 3D, and with dual screen support... :p

I think that would be a good idea in my opinion, actually.

I dunno, Sonys games don't really fit the 3DS much...Yeah tearaway maybe but others nah. Plus alot of third party games actually sell better on the Vita than the 3DS, so Sony going third party would just lower there sales.

That's just a few I could be bothered searching, of course there are plenty of 3DS third party games that sell more on the 3DS aswell.

Nah, I mean unlike Nintendo which makes lots of money from selling crazy numbers of low budget games, Sony still makes more money from 3rd party games - so 1st party must focus on selling more consoles to drive 3rd party sales.

This is because 3rd party sales are pure profit for platform owners. The platform makes money on every copy sold, even if the 3rd party doesn't make a cent of profit after their development costs.

1st party software has higher revenue per title, but you have to subtract the development costs.

So if they stop making Vita software it will be to focus on more PS4 software.

I hope that people realize that he was trying to make a point... At least, that's *what* I read the OP.

Of course he was, though many of us Sony fans are not handheld gamers at all so it does not work on everyone.
