Forums - Microsoft Discussion - What Kind of Game would make you buy or you want with the Xbox One?

Hi guys,

I am a Sony fan, not a fanboy. I have already bought my PS4 and really enjoying it (Resogun co-op is amazing). But I also look at what Xbox One and Wii U are bringing in the video game Industry and if I should actually consider buying them. Today as I was watching some cartoons (yu-gi-oh, Vanguard), I found myself thinking: If one of those games were made to be entirely voice command,  I would flip out (imagining myself screaming: "I play Dark Magician", "Activate Card one Trap", "Fuse Dark Magician with Lady Magician", "Attack Life Force"... and so many other commands.

If Xbox One release some kind of game like that, I am buying the Xbox One even with the $100+. But as for now, I haven't seen anything that has pick up my interest.

Holy shit... I would love that! A Yu-Gi-Oh game with voice commands... But isn't Yugioh kinda dead? The last I heard about yugioh was 5ds.

And I doubt anything like that would come to fruition, sorry.

An Insomniac Games exclusive (Sunset Overdrive) is a very good first step to getting me interested in the Xbox One. Had Zoo Tycoon reviewed better (and focused more on the "Tycoon" than the "Zoo" part), that would've also contributed.

3D platformers and JRPG's would gravitate me further towards purchasing an XBone. Arcade racers too in a pinch.

If MS got the console-exclusive versions of things like Renegade X; War for the Overworld and Satellite Reign, that'd also get me interested. The fact that they got the console-exclusive versions of Tropico 4 and Command & Conquer 3 were big gets for my interest in 360 (but not quite enough in the end).

Nothing to do with the tech per se; just the genres of games that I like.

Similar feeling, although have to admit any additional system would have to be sensational to get me to drop more money in the next 12-18 months.  If Microsoft kept doing with the 360 and X1 what it did first few years of 360 with those JRPGs and all and never considered DRM stuff it would have been a very tough call to make.

I will buy a Xbox One when they release a decent* Halo in 1080p.

decent* -> The game story must have real "Halos" intergalactic objects that I can see from almost every levels as backgrounds scenery. You know... "Halo". Like the title of the franchise.

I didn't exactly mean a Yu-Gi-Oh game, just something similar lol.  I was just giving examples. It could even be a Strategic RPG (travel with controller and battle with voice command), commanding an army, a real new experience with full voice command.

Just 4, 5 voice commands while using my controller most of the time is not enough to get me to buy it

Nothing. I already have a WiiU and soon the PS4. 2 consoles are more then enough for me. I'm sure that during it's lifetime there will be alot of games I want to play but that's something I will have to live with. Can't play the games if aint got the to play them.

The only game that would even make think about it is a Bungie made, mainline Halo. Titanfall looks awesome, but I am buying that on the 360. I WOULD say a proper Banjo 3, but Rare isn't capable of that magic anymore.

I think the major selling point are voice commands and being a media hub for TV. But considering this is suppose to be a game console, that may or may not be such a good thing.

Literally the funnest game in the world wouldn't get me to buy one. I refuse to support the company, period.

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

Revive some of Rares old franchises (and have them not suck) and some exclusive JRPGs by companies I like (Atlus, Square, Namco etc.)
