PS4’s North American debut on November 15th was PlayStation’s largest ever, with more than one million gamers picking up a PS4 in just 24 hours. (SCEI) today announced that cumulative sell through for the PlayStation®4 (PS4™) computer entertainment system worldwide has surpassed 2.1 million units*1 as of December 1, 2013. The number includes the 700,000 units sold through in Europe and Australasia launching on November 29. The PS4 system became available on November 15 in the United States and Canada and on November 29 in Europe, Australasia and Latin America and is now available in 32 countries globally.

It is better to wait for the official press release in written to clarify if it is shipment figure or sell through figure. Whatever it is, it is quite impressive. Congratulations to Sony and PS4.

MS, as your fan, please learn from your own lesson and learn from your competitor. It is nearly hopeless to catch up PS4, but please make good games for us Xbox fans, so we will not feel more disappointed.

One question, Sony said their target is 3 million PS4 by the end of 2013. Is it the shipment forecast or sell through forecast? I think it is about sell through becasue even Wii U shipped more than 3 million by the end of 2012. I think Sony can easily beat 3 million shipments target. Anyone know this?
