Microsoft are doing awesome lately.

Microsoft making more profit now than anytime in their history as a company. FACT.
Microsoft entered the mobile market against all analyst and naysayers and are increasing marketshare every year. And not far from beating Iphone.
Microsoft have just had the best launch an Xbox console ever had with living room changing features.

They are on fire as a company.

Selnor they are SO far from beating iPhone.

Do you even check the quarterly figures?!

Android is unstoppable. Largely thanks to Samsungs success rather than the OS though. MY Wifes on her 7th Galaxy S3. And its all OS related faults. Not hardware.

You cray cray if you think Apple are done by 2016!! If it got bad they'd swallow their pride and compete in price. But like that guy above me said, iPhone sales are increasing.

Unless Apple make $100 phones and move the OS along with the times, they will never be market leader again. And WILL be 3rd place in a market they essentially parented. Whats happened to them is like if Macs took over PC. Imagine a world where whats happened to IOS happened to Windows.

 

Apple screwed up. They will end up the MACS of the Mobile market. Another niche product.

Why is iOS so big in the US? I just don't get it. Andriod is annoying and clumsy (yes, I actually have an Andriod phone) but iOS is even worse.

I know they are still some way off. But far closer than anyone would of predicted.

IOS has dropped to 15% total world marketshare. DROPPED.

WP8 has risen to 7% total World marketshare.

Like I said by 2016 WP will overtake IOS Worldwide. I said 2016 back on these forums back when WP7 released.

I dont know what people expected from a static Mobile OS with no $100 phones.

Google needs a new strategy with Android. Marketshare in the smartphone business means nothing when both Samsung and Microsoft are making more money off it. It's crazy how volatile Android is. With Samsung being in control, expect them to drop Android for the new OS any minute now.

I like windows phone better than iOS actually.

If I had an android tablet would consider that Lumia that has a 40 mpx camera.

When will Google fix the whole patent issues and stop losing a portion of the profit to MS?

Is that even fixable? Surely it must be.

 

OT: That's pretty impressive. It's still not even close to iOS and Android where I'm from, but that's anecdotal I don't have any data to back that up.

Christ, surely by then the Euro lot will be involved, they like to shit on MS when they can and would never allow them to make so much money from Android like that??!

If in 2017 MS is making $10b+ a year from it then ... insane indeed.

samsung wil go side by sode for a few years yet... then drop it like a brick.

I love Google, but the mess they created with Android is... funny.
