I actually expect the Xbone to be leading in North America for most of this gen. Americans just seem to like Xbox more than PlayStation, whereas Europe tends to be much more PlayStation oriented.

I can't tell yet. I've seen more people in line waiting for PS4 than xbox at stores. On my facebook I know like 10 people who have the Xbox Ones and one with a ps4. Nobody I know has a Wii U.

I know very few people who have current gens as far as I know.

I'd say about 2 people have Wii u, 1 has an Xbone and like 3 have a PS4.

What country you in? US?

Nope, in the UK. Scotland to be precise.

Ah gotcha. I assume it's similar audience there as in US. I think once the price cut for the Xbox One hits it'll sell on par with PS4

Surprisingly, the UK is pretty much Sony territory. Back in the 90s we had PS1s and Tekken in nightclubs. Even when the PS3 was a glorified BluRay player people still bought shit loads of them.

360 was popular there too. maybe because it was a cheap alternative to ps3 and word of mouth kept sales strong for 360.

It was popular too, but I remember people made fun of me in school for getting a 360 and not a PS3 xD Really weird. I still know faaaaar more people with PS3s than 360s. Maybe it's just up in Scotland though.

Because outside of this site and a few other on-line communities many people actually want an Xbox. At least in most English speaking areas.

Black Friday is a USA shopping day. And I would best the average consumer there doesn't know about the new Xbox, but they would choose an Xbox anyway. It's far more popular and chosen by more communities than the PlayStation.

PlayStation USA has their fans, but I think most of them already got them.

So you expect ps4 sales to drop to Wii u levels then since most PS fans got the ps4.....

Let us all forget the 2.3 million ps4s back ordered at GameStop.... And the fact the ps4 outsold the Xbox in the u.s, and the fact you can't get a ps4 anywhere right now, can't wait till a couple of months pass, I'm tired of talking to Xbox fans who throw away the power difference and tout its the same for 100 bucks more crap in person and in the forums

It would just confirm that we are surrounded by mouth breathing dude bros over here in the US. They aren't gamers, just UFC/NFL/COD players that think their testicles will fall off if they are caught by their friends playing anything that looks "kiddy" like a Mario or Zelda game.

I lmao wen i see people i kno laugh at me with zelda or a mario game. Im like they couldn't beat a zelda game if their life depended on it. ALSO one time one of them played NSMBU at a demo station, couldn't even get past the first level *facepalm. I swear idiots these days lol

I think the PS4 will take an early lead in the US, but I think the Xbox One will reclaim the top spot in the US by the end of 2014 between Titanfall, Halo 5, and Quantum Break. UK will likely follow suit, Xbox was the top dog there this gen as well.

based on what? Last gen and this gen are two completely different worlds

Never trust gamestop, that 2.3mil is so farfetched. I remember them stating the same thing with WiiU but to a lesser extent (i think it was like 700k-800k wiiu pre orders backup after 1st week of sales). Thats impossible considering WiiU lifetime sales after January/February.

Anyway PS4 is definitely in back up supply and it will be the Wii 2.0 all over again!

They definitely are. And even going by last gen, Sony outsold Microsoft by about 8million units.

If the xbox one has price cut then they will lose money on it, so its not a wise decision. If they try to give a price after a year to be competitive then PS4 can also lower its price which brings again PS4 advantage in price. I don't think both PS4 and Xbox one selling at same price.

Only way microsoft to match PS4 price is without kinecet which is mostly not possible. If they do then xbox one is nothing but just an xbox 360 with more power and their kinect innovation will be lost.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

It's possible. If the ps4 can sell out next holiday season as well at 400 dollars they have no reason to
cut the price. Xbox one has room to cut the price to increase marketshare (and sell more games and xbox live subscriptions xbox one will have decreased costs next year as well) It's possible we see both systems at 400 dollars next year.

He's talking about the US only. I mean, think about it. Xbox 360 outsold the Wii for crying out loud. lol
