Forums - Gaming Discussion - PS3 Bundles Sold Out Xbox 360 Bundles NOT What Does It Mean?

Tagged games:

Doing some browsings for Black Friday Deals on Playstation 3s and Xbox 360s, I've noticed that at every retailer that I've checked thus far the Playstation 3 Holiday Bundles including 250GB Playstation 3s with The Last of Us and Batman Arkjam Origins for $199 are all sold out.  I've also noticed that the Xbox 360 Holiday bundles containing Halo 4 and Tomb Raider ( Note:  The Best Buy Bundle comes with two additional games Darksiders II and Batman Arkham City for $189.99 ) for the same price ( $199 ) aren't completely sold out as of yet.

What do you think that means and what do you think it indicates for the future of each brand going forward?

Note:  I put Batman Arkham Asylum ( PS3 ) in the tagged games because I didn't see Arkham Origins in the list.

Nothing

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

nothing in isolation.

We don't know the availability

pretty much this.

X360 has broken BF records, I wouldn't be surprised if retailers overstocked.

It means that Sony keeps undershipping compared to the competition, that needs to be less aggressive to sell well in US. It is actually comical how incompetent the America part of Playstation is, when it comes to selling the console.

Nothing, every year we get something like this then MS go and double PS3 sales on BF.

It means that the PS3 bundles are sold out and the 360 bundles aren't. See? You answered your own question!

Maybe for PS3, but from the looks of the data PS4 is bucking that trend.

I am sorry but no it is not. How could have they screwed this launch after Sony HQ made a greatly balanced machine (power/price)? They can´t but I bet money how come next BF and Holiday season, MS will be more agressive when it comes to shipments when it comes to US ofcourse, even if demand is highers for the PS4.

This as been the case for years now, just look at how much time it took for the 12gb PS3? Why is there a 64gb vita card in japan only when US is where people download more games? Why be agressive in a BF bundle with a 3rd party game in it where you have to pay WB for it when you had GOW, Beyond and smaller games to bundle it with Last of us and maybe be more agressive with pricing?

means yield issues obviously
