So I was walking around with a friend for Black Friday and came across a Microsoft store with Microsoft propaganda all over the place. There were two girls working for the store dancing awkwardly to Just Dance. Eventually my friend and I were greeted by an 'Apple-like' customer service attendant who wanted us to try out the Xbox One. They are really trying to get them out of the stores. I saw more 360's going off of the shelves at my mall to tell you the truth. People want the door buster deals. Maybe next year...maybe next year. After I left the Microsoft store, they had a Microsoft booth halfway down the mall filled with Xbones and the 360 was still outselling it. I felt bad because the Xbox is a good piece of hardware with a great launch lineup.

it's great news... means they are able to maintain stock, cause I have been scouting http://www.zoolert.com/videoconsoles/xbox-one-console/trackers/ and stock is up every day and gone every day regardless of the bundle even the 1000 bucks one.... so it means at least to things.... stock is coming in and going out fast online.... pretty sure it is the same in store....
regardless it is better to have something on shelves than none

to me it looks like MS handle their launch better and distribution even better than Sony...

Awesome. Hope there is some in stock somewhere on next Thursday so I can scoop mine up. Don't think I have been this excited for a new gen console since the Dreamcast.

I was waiting in line for a TV at a walmart in small town Iowa and on either side of me were the lines for the PS4 and the Xbox One. There were 20 PS4s and 48 Ones. When the lines opened up the PS4 was gone in roughly a minute, with about a dozen more people in the line that went away empty handed. When I looked over at the One I expected a similar thing, but there was still about 15 Ones remaining. For the remaining 2 hours I waited in my line there was only 5 additional people that picked up the One...and they ALL put them back. Meanwhile, there was several people who came by still asking for the PS4. The clerk was literally begging people that came by to please buy and Xbox One (I'm assuming she just wanted to leave the area) but as far as I can tell it never happened. Those Ones may still be at the Walmart. I, the girl, the people in line with me, and some supervisors all couldn't believe that they didn't sell out. I'm still a little surprised.

And that's my black friday video game anecdote. Take it as you please.

I take that as the Xbone outselling the PS4 in your store 33 to 20 with 15 more available for probable sale throughout the day :)

I don't see how having plenty stock at this time of year is a bad thing.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

pretty much what I think.... I know a bunch of my friends GF/wife that want to buy them an XB one and didn't do it yet... that's when availableity becomes relevant... cause trust me a lot of GF will buy an XB one instead of a PS4 if this is what is available this holliday unless the BF is a diehard PS fan and those are not a majority just a vocal minority (die hard fans of any console that is) or the opposite this works both ways....

I figured this would be the case for X1 this year. The reason for the previous Black Friday and Holiday sell outs were due to MS's annual $100 gift card incentives.

Xbox sold out where I'm from for 2 consecutive weeks after re-stock.
I was the last one on the line to get a X1. I was stocked.

You feel bad. Sure.

What does this have to do with my point? There is no outlet that sells PS4's or Wii U's in my mall. You have to go across the street to Best Buy and its sold out over there. I was saying I felt bad because its a great product and even with no competition in the mall they couldn't sell out even on Black Friday.

360's were selling great everywhere I went. But it was only $99 and ~$199, not $499. Personally, I thought that was pretty amazing for such an old console.

Given the 1 million sales in 24 hours, I'd say the X1 is doing fine. And its clear MS put a massive amount of inventory on the  market.

I saw more of that earlier today. Good to see the 360 still selling strong with the people. Those door busters are incredible.
