MS made some serious mistakes in the beginnig with their marketing this will haunt them for a while.

Maybe we will see a rebranding soon

Listen to yourself.

Stop only comparing it to the ps4 launch.  Compatre it to just about every other home console launch and see how riduclous what you are saying sounds.

It has had a very good launch and it will go on to do very well.

I agree with Kowen on this one - why would people go into a Black Friday sale to buy a console that doesn't even have a discount on it? This Black Friday will be all about the 3DS I think

Nope I am not comparing to the past. I am comparing it to the PS4 right now. The market has changed it has grown and became more competitive. And with MS ambitions I am pretty sure this is seen as a failure in large parts of the company and from a stockholder perspective.

If it stays behind the PS4 in terms of marketshare and profit this gen that means MS has chosen the wrong strategy to market their console.

I think MS aimed to be the top dog with the Xbone anything less than first place is a failure (Or like this gen a tight race).  If MS will not be able to pick up momentum compared to the PS4 soon we WILL see a rebranding at some point.

Yes MS efforts are admirable and they try hard. But the problem might be that they try too hard to convince people. Its like with a girl try too hard and you are out. Its the desperation that turns them off. I think MS has the same problem right now with their marketing.

Yep, their efforts are admirable, but I also noticed that the Apple store didn't even keep their store open for Black Friday because absolutely nothing is on sale. Apple is a rockstar in my mall, they do not fear Black Friday and they will not let up for the average consumer. Any Apple fans need to try Best Buy.

I wonder why Amazon and Best Buy aren´t reciven any Xboxes yet.

So, correct if I´m wrong, but today is Friday, Eearly morning not? Did the Microsoft Store was openned yesterday? Or do you expected they sold-out in the first seconds of the day?

And, since when having a product in stocks is a bad thing?

Ok, ok, Xbox One is doomed, even much doomer than Wii U. You feel sad? Are you serious? Everyone here know you are the hardcore Sony fan. I think you are very glad to see this.

On the topic, I remembered PS2 used to outsell both PS3/X360 back to 2006. Is it a surprise? Come on, this is black Friday. The price determines everything. And 499USD doesn't seem a good deal in this holiday heat wave.

Dude just shut up already. I've genuinely been singing the Xbox Ones praises for the past two weeks already and when I state an observation you all start complaining. I actually prefer its launch to the PS4 even though I consider the PS4 a better investment overtime. Regardless of that, my mall has no competition from any other console brand. No Nintendo or Sony in the mall at all and Microsoft Propaganda in 1/4 of the mall on Black Friday.

Small mall presumably.  But you already said the best buy next door has all of the consoles and some amazing deals on Wiiu, 360, PS3 no doubt

Next years Black friday will be all about ONE and PS4.

But I repeat... for the third time... the ONE has had a very good launch when compared to almost every launch ever.

There were thousands of people in my mall. Its not small either, it takes about a twenty minute to thirty minute walk to go back and forth if you're looking around. I've been to small malls, and this one is not small. Its very trendy spot in a highly populated suburban part of town.

I already stated that next years Black Friday will be all about the One and PS4. This is not an argument, but rather an observation. I thought the Xbox Ones had been sold out and been on back order much like the PS4 was reported to have been. I found out today that it was wrong.

I think I need to put it in bold letters that I presumed the Xbone was sold out but was proven wrong tonight. Sony is going to be first come first served for a while for whoever can get it at any store with a backorder.

Can you explain what you mean by re-branding.  The only thing sounding desperate now is you trying to downplay a pretty succesful launch.

I am not saying it wasn`t succesful I am saying it wasn`t succesful enough.  Downplaying no. Why would I do that ? Its a fact that MS did not fail with their launch. Its just that they failed relatively to the PS4 and this has most likely to do something with their marketing mistakes in the early beginnig and Kinect.

While I see that Kinect is integral for their strategy it is at this price holding back the Xbox one. They should sell it for 399. With rebranding I mean a 349 slim version without kinect targeted at only the hardcore crowd. And a family Kinect unit for 399.

We will see how this plays out. I can`t see in the future. But I have the feeling that MS could do better with the Xbox one if they would change their strategy for now.

Thats not rebranding.

There is no rush.  The ONE will do just fine.

The rebranding part would be the focus on gamer first and entertainment second. TBH I have no idea if they already adapted to Sonys strategy. I do not follow the console launch very closely and was not exposed to the ads at all.

Keep the Kinect in the box long as possible. A $50 drop in a few months would be huge. It's very early. Extremely early.
On topic I know some stores got shipments for BF. The extent though Is unknown.

Does Sony has a "Sony Store" with Apple Like guys and tons of PS4s to make opportunity sells?

I realy don´t get what you are trying here. XOne appers to be sold out online but with a health supply at physical retailers. It´s doing realy ok everywhere.

Again, what is wrong with a Microsoft Store having XOnes to show and give a opportunity to buyers with a little extra monney?

Sony Store ? They have their Sony Center in big cities like Berlin for example.
