Forums - Gaming Discussion - IBUYPOWER SteamBox more powerful then XboxOne & PS4

Brilliant idea by Valve, i can see both Sony and Microsoft making steamboxes in a couple of years as the costs to design a full system from scratch are horrendous. This WILL be the last generation of console games as we know it today. Console gaming as it stands today is already last gen x2

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

You're missing 2 big factors though. The average consumer doesn't care about PC gaming. And the people that do care about it already have gaming PCs.

Only, the Steambox is meant to be more of a gaming console that happens to play PC games, than actual "PC gaming"

Steambox will be a relative flop.

its counterintuitive to the concept of pc gaming and the make up of many pc gamers.
