Forums - Gaming Discussion - PS4 versus XBox One: Which console you should buy and why?

What will you buy: PS4 or XBox One?

PS4 320 65.98%

XBox One 78 16.08%

Wii U 46 9.48%

None of the above. Waitin... 41 8.45%

Total:485

All three if games are the most important thing to an individual.

For someone that is not willing to buy multiple consoles, PS4 is the only way to go IMO. The most powerful and most versatile hardware. Both XBO and PS4 have left massive amounts of power and memory on the table for their OS's so we will see massive advancements to each over the life cycle. Just like last gen one will introduce a new feature and the other will follow shortly after. Thanks to its more capable hardware, and more dedicated chips and memory, PS4 will always perform better in multitasking, and gaming capabilities. XBO will be fine for the few that just have to have Halo and Forza, but the rest will be better off with PS4.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

PS4 because is a more powerful and capable machine and Sony has the best exclusives on the market!

Uncharted & The Last of Us

(Definitely, best games of last Gen)

I already have a WiiU and I chose the last option. While the WiiU is reaching a tipping point I'm not sure any of the three could be classified as a 'should buy' just yet.

Thus far they have been bought mostly based on potential and track record.

PS4 now, xbone later (when halo 5 is out), wiiu after another price drop.

I want the PS4 for the single player experience found in Sony's IPs and the great majority of my friends from high school, college and childhood friends are buying PS4 over the Xbox One, so naturally, it is also the console I will pick up for multiplayer. This combined with it providing superior multiplats (or at least at parity) makes the decision even easier. At this point having both would be redundant for me.

The Wii U since I like Nintendo's games and I think it will give me a much more unique experience than the XBO. Plus, since I have to pay for online on the PS4, I'd rather avoid 2 sub fees (PS4 and XBO), and since the Wii U's online is still free it is much easier for me.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Now nothing. The next console I'm tempted to buy is the Wii U because of its Spring lineup but I'm waiting on that cause the last time Nintendo promised games (Wii U launch window), it failed to deliver. I really doubt they'd delay their games any longer though!

PS4 will come next I presume though the XBone really does have some good stuff going on notably the controller. I'll wait for 2014 holidays to decide on that but right now I'm just enjoying the best console this generation so far, my 3DS

PS4.

Cheaper than xbone.
More powerful than xbone
symmetrical controller better than wonky controller
Sony are the best at supporting their consoles

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Wow, so many ps4 fanboys.

If you think the game library justifies the purchase I think you need you head examined. Same goes for Xbox One.

PS4 because it's cheaper and I do not like what the Xbox One has to offer.
