I am surprised 28% votes to "never" and ask myself why I am so serious in this poll.

I don't know. I voted Never because right now the market looks awful hostile for X1. Basically if all you care about is games you can stick with your current generation systems. (They will still be getting a lot of good stuff next year too) But if you absolutely must have a new console and you want games The Wii U is 200 dollars cheaper. If you want games and power (Along with better third party support) The PS4 is 100 dollars cheaper. The only advantage the X1 has right now really is certain features and I don't think that that will be enough. Though I could be wrong.
Nintendo Wii by generations...
1. Wii
2. Wii U
3. Wii O U
Predictions made by gamers concerning the current Nintendo line up of games.
Pikmen 3= Little Bump to nothing. (Got Little Bump)
Wind Waker HD= Won't sell anything (The explosion happened here and at one time 4 Wii U games was in the Amazon top 100)
Super Mario 3D World= Won't help at all looks cheap. (Currently the most sought after Wii U game and continuing the Wii U increase.)
I think the WiiU has a window of opportunity over the next six months. It needs to gain some momentum through the holiday (by milking Super Mario 3D World for all it's worth), it needs DKTF to be great and it needs Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros to follow in quick succession and for them to be great too.
Do all of those things and I think the WiiU could genuinely gain some traction by being the cheapest next-gen system with a decent bunch of must-have exclusives. Do all of those things and I think it will be some time before XB1 has a chance to overtake the WiiU.
Follow that up with a solid E3, including playable Zelda plus some surprises e.g. Starfox, F-Zero, Waverace, Metroid teaser etc., in addition to what has already been announced and then we are potentially getting into territory where it might never be caught.
Fail to do those things and it will get slowly overtaken. Do all of those things and it's still hard to imagine Sony not being far in front.
I think it eventually will. The XBox brand is very strong where I live (the UK) to the point where people will often say "Yeah he's enjoying his XBox" even when the guy has a PS or Wii.
Of course, it's worth remembering that VW's outsell Porsche every year, but I know which I'd rather be driving :)

you cant have heard the same argument because MK 8 has not come out. What argument? nobody compared xone to Wii U before. Dont know why you keep bringing up 3ds, stay on topic it has nothing to do with Wii U except both are made by Nintendo. 3ds was never in the dire straits that Wii U is anyhow. If you actually look at the upcoming games and whats being preordered its far from just shooters. Hell I dont even see any Wii U games up their. BUt you might be right, forgot that xbox is a non factor in Japan and they probably wont make it up in the US not with PS4 giving them a run for their money.

Yes the 4BONE launches are fantastic. If my memory serves me correct (probably wrong) the top four launches in history are PS4, XBONE, PS2, and Wii U in that order. Wii U kept its launch momentum for a month selling 1.78 million in Dec. alone. Again that's a really good number for a newly launched system. I'm not expecting the XBONE to drop to horrible numbers worse than the Wii U, but I am saying it's still a possibility. I'm only predicting that it'll happen because it's unexpected. |
fair enough

but isnt that kind of the point? if that much people were willing to spend that much day one, why would it be so hard fetched to believe that they will not continue to do so after? I mean it already did much better than WIi U's launch and its 150 more expensive, that tells me the demand for hte console is just higher
