Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bunch of people like Wii U

Unless you want upscaled ports on the Xbox One and PS4 and not looking to games that come out early next year, then they're right, the Wii U is the best console to buy this holiday season, but early next year some really good looking third and first party games come out for the PS4, good looking third party for Xbox One, so I'd also say save your money until those release.

I'm interested in New Super Mario Bros U, Super Mario 3D World, and Zombie U, but still not enough of a selling point for me. Super Smash Bros U will sell me on the console.

Considering that it's $100-200 cheaper, comes with one if not two pack in games (which the other consoles do not) no matter which version you choose, is the only next gen system to offer both backwards compatibility AND free online play, has a ton of eShop games coming as well as the Virtual Console games, yeah, I'd say it's pretty much the best value for your money.

And since we're talking about games coming next year, Wii U's 2014 is already looking pretty bright, with the likes of DKCR2, Bayonetta 2, Watch_Dogs, Lego The Hobbit, Mario Kart 8, X, Shin Megami Tensai x Fire Emblem, Smash Bros., Yarn Yoshi, and a whole slew more that will hopefully include a Dec. release of Zelda U, I'd say Wii U will shape up just fine, and continue to have the best value for the money for some time.

If consoles were a short term investment, I would agree. However, just because PS4One don't have a lot of games at the moment doesn't mean you should buy a WiiU instead when you could just wait a few months and buy a PS4One then.

If a person was to wait around 2 years to buy the PS4 after a $100 price cut, that and the online fee savings would practically pay for a Wii U to play in the meantime. You could have two systems for the gen for the price of a launch PS4 with weak games.

It has the best current lineup and the best upcoming games (short term), it is the cheapest (with free internet too) and a bunch of other stuff so yeah...i think it deserves the positive press for now

Are we allowed to post positive Wii U articles?

No were not, this person broken the law. THOUSANDS YEARS DUNGEONS!!!!!

OT: That's good to hear, I feel the PS4 and Wii U will have a good christmas and maybe the Xbox One. Not sure about the PS Vita though. I don't think remote play will push sells.

Vita doubled wii-u last week in sales, vita will kep gaining steam, it wll be fine.

Very impressive compared to about a year ago, but why are the US sales the lowest, because of the PS4, or did EMEAA/Japan get PSVita releases? The Wii U doing 82k though is a 24% improvement over last week, and a lot better than the 30k it was getting, the price drop has done quite a bit for the Wii U, and games are starting to get released that people want. It's also interesting to note, PS4 and Xbox one are going to be going through the same thing the Wii U did. Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Madden and Fifa were all released for the Wii U on launch, but then a big draught. And NBA 2K14 didn't come to the Wii U, although Batman Arkham City, Assassin's Creed 4, and Call of Duty Ghosts did. I'm sure Wii U will start beating PS4 for a few weeks when Smash Bros comes out, ESPECIALLY if they do a bundle.

Love the positive buzz and anyone with half a balanced brain should realize Wii U is the best gamer option this year.

Unless of course you only play EA Sports and shooters... then you should just stick with PS360 for now.

That is a very huge portion of players, it would seem.

I was rather shocked by all the positive news Wii U's been getting recently. It seems 3D World's really changed people's views on the system.

What I find really interseting, though, is that these people almost sound like they're trying to convince you to buy the Wii. As if it were their job. I saw an IGN video earlier today discussing IGN's favorite levels from the Mario 3D World game. At the end, they said "make sure you share this with all your friends so they know the plumber is back with awesome style!" or something (that is not word for word).

Just seems weird that they're doing Nintendo's marketing job for them.

I don't think its just marketing. I think that this mario game is just that damn good and any gamer would actually really want to play it.

I was just teasing my bros for buying xbone. I asked them what new games they got. They mentioned Fifa, COD and Dead Island. I said, so one new game?

Though I can't really say much. I bought Wii U with only a few new games and the promise of a few more that didnt' materialize for quite some time.

Wii U, from what has been announced will have a stronger lineup until at least 2015.
