Unless you want upscaled ports on the Xbox One and PS4 and not looking to games that come out early next year, then they're right, the Wii U is the best console to buy this holiday season, but early next year some really good looking third and first party games come out for the PS4, good looking third party for Xbox One, so I'd also say save your money until those release.

I'm interested in New Super Mario Bros U, Super Mario 3D World, and Zombie U, but still not enough of a selling point for me. Super Smash Bros U will sell me on the console.

It's $100 cheaper than PS4 and $200 cheaper than X-Bone and it includes a game (or two if you count Luigi as a separate game). Not to mention it has more and better games for the time being than the other two systems. It's the obvious holiday pick for families and those who don't care about specs and online play as much.

True..... but at the end of the day games sell hardware not dumb journalist.

Oh yeah that was CNET. They had an article about the week after saying it was best console to get this holiday season too.
