I guess this is a fair comparison, both consoles have similar userbase in Japan "I guess". But 3D world will have like half of what did Sunshine FW, things should be more fun to watch in the long run.

Early unconfirmed reports from a major Japanese gaming retail store puts SM3DW a very close second to Lighting Returns FF 13.

Now if I was to take this (probably wrongly) as representative across the nation I may change my mind to SM3DW.
The PS3 has what? 10m, 9m user base in Japan. The wii u less than 1m.

IF this initial report is TRUE then for SM3DW to push a Final Fantasy game so close in Japan on a platform 8x more the user base than it's own is quite spectacular.

But then you realize that a 250k FW would be a nice surprise for Lightning Returns...

Why only a Sunshine comparison? Why not the Galaxy games and 3D Land? I know they'll out perform 3D World, but at least they're more recent titles and have released closer to the same point in the year as 3D World.

I thought Wii U passed 1 million in Japan around July.

I will use Galaxy 2 in the American comparison,maybe Galaxy and 3D land as well



bet with ash3336 he wins if Super Mario 3D World sells less than Mario Sunshine during the first three years, I win if 3D World outsells Sunshine's first 3 years. Loser get sig controlled for 3 months (punishment might change)
