I'm not downplaying anything. I say the game looks really good. The artists just went for a simple and clean look. If it can maintain a stable 60fps framerate it will for sure be a much better game for it than if they tried to make it look photorealistic. It's the same reason why Super Mario 3D World looks really good as well.

The only next gen game with worse fog and lod is The Order 1886.  Even the first Assassin's Creed on PS3/360 had better lod

This pretty much sums it up.  Guy's a troll. Nothing about this game is POOR.  I mean come one.  That being said, I do notice it appears flat at times.  Very shiny, nice textures in many spots, but sparse.  Maybe sparse is the word.  I see what Chrizum is saying.

Still a great looking game, far from poor.  Stop trolling Krill.

Also, its clear they are making improvements day by day.  By the time the second titles of these series come out in 2-4 years down the road, it will make all the 6 month launch window games look sparse by comparison.  

okay 2 things people and i dont want to have to say this again, although i may need to repeat it in all caps.

1) Have you ever been to seattle? its foggy, its called trying to accurately depict the city in which it takes place.

2) Clean up your dam quote trees!!!!!! we all saw the shots the first time, we dont need to see it another 10 times. Its really easy to do.

i better hury up and finish the first one haha..still probably buy this even tho i never ended up beating the first one.. this seems to be the best time for gaming in a long time so much going on...

OK, so Chizum says the game doesn't have much complex geometry and it looks very sharp and shiny. 911turbo says it appears flat at times and has very shiny textures in spots and is sparse.

I personally think that a little harsh. I just don't think it is the best next-gen graphics on show.
