Anfebious said: I can do one subjective comparision too. PS4 VS Wii U The Wii U, looks really cool. It comes in white and dark colors. I have the white one. The PS4 looks ugly. The performance of the Wii U is really cool. I heard it can run games at 1080p and 60fps. The internet services are better on PS4. The Wii U is cheaper than the PS4 and Xbox One. All around the Wii U seems to be a good console. |
You're being really funny here, but for the sake of argument, let me take it seriously, and have a rational reply...
1) Wii U looks good -> I agree
PS4 looks ugly --> I certainly disagree and the vast majority of people who are not jealous fans of another system would aslo disagree
conclusion : both systems look good (though I prefer PS4, I always liked Nintendo's compact & efficient designs)
2) Wii U's performance is slightly above PS3, it's not even close between wiiU and PS4. but this is less of an issue for the Nintendo Fans because those exclusives are not available anywhere else, so if you like Nintendo exclusives, WiiU is probably powerful enough. But most third party games will either not be on WiiU or will be VERY SUBPAR.
3) Internet services of WiiU may be better than PS3, I don't know, they are proved to be very problematic. At least for now, PS4 services seem to be really fast an problem-free. It's a paid service, so Nintendo has the edge here, but with all the extras, I believe PS4 service is worth it. Basically very different beasts to be compared.
4) Yes WiiU is cheaper by $50-$100, but let's see how much more this extra bucks buy you : much MUCH much faster Console (basically a generational leap), better implementation game streaming via PSVita (which was the main premise of WiiU), a much MUCH much larger third party support, bluray playback support etc... No question about it, PS4 is far better value.
Yes WiiU is a good console, and it has every reason to exist, at least for the sheer reason of Nintendo exclusives and some interesting ideas. I believe it should be cheaper around $249 for the deluxe model. My question is why does XB1 even exist? What would we lose other than the first party titles, which could easily be ported over to the PS4, and economic competition?
