Forums - Microsoft Discussion - An Unbiased Review: Ryse: Son of Rome (Video Review)

If this game didn't have multiplayer, would it have rated higher?

I was wondering this too. Since the score appears to be an average, would taking the MP out cause this cause the average to go up and make this a better game? I don't quite get the rating system.

It would be a 7.1 without multiplayer yes.  The overall is basically the over all package averaged.  The individual scores is so you can judge on each individual part of the game.

Will watch when I get home and comment.

Judging by what is said so far I am guessing you got th audio corrected.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

looks like the potential of a great hack and slash there they just couldn't do that well... i mean i played it at my friends house its very repetitive and easy like all the people say. (never tryed multyplayer). i still have to say..

long live...Viking Battle for Asgard

I am really enjoying the game. Now only been playing for a few days, but it's a better game than I expected. And compared to Assassin's Creed or Batman I find 'smarter' and more challenging combat. You have to actually know which buttons to push, rather than winning by button mashing.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Good review again... thanks.

"Best looking game I've seen on Consoles"
might have something to do with you only owning an xbox one? just saying.

Not trying to start an argument but when you make a statement like that only having one platform to hand it doesnt help the "unbiased" bit of the topic.
To be truly unbiased, you would need a PS4 with all the games there with you, to hand, as you dont then your statement should be "best looking game on the xbox one" rather than "on consoles".
