Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo to drop the bomb 7/12-2013 ?

That is a terrible idea and would bury Nintendo for sure. The special anouncement are GAMES, more games, cool games, great games incoming. And that is all that it takes to suceed really.
The hollyday season will garantee a million units for WiiU sales, the Super Mario 3D World amazing level of quality will also grant another million, with a little momentum from this, I am sure it can get to 7 million till march, which is pretty good.
So, if 2014 see Nintendo bringing more cool games, the WiiU will be fine.

VR has no mass appeal, it is dangerous for health and it hurt the eyes, the Wii was king because dumb sexy girls and senile old folks were hooked for the concept of motion gaming, VR appeal only to sad geeks and will never be as broad.

Probably just Zelda.

tbh.....a Zelda reveal would be a lot more exciting then VR.....

I also dobt it because it would boost the price of the Wii U to being right up there with the vastly superior technolofy wise Xbox One and Playstation 4 and nobody would buy the underpowered Wii U at that price for another gimmick and expensive, later additions to consoles don't really have a track record for making them sell all that much more than they already are selling.

The best bomb Nintendo can drop with Wii U is to reduce the price of Wii U's Deluxe Model to $199.99 because then it would be available at a realistic price point in relation to PS4 and Xbone.

So, 300 + one game is overpriced? It has free online, you can use all the stuff from the Wii, everything. No features behind a paywall. If you buy a Wii U now you have atleast 4-5 titles that are really really good. And as far as I know no launch title benefited from better hardware besides prettier graphics. 200 is just unrealistic and almost trolling.

Virtual reality headset? No way. And it would be lousy anyway.

Most likely? Some sort of promo thing like the Best Buy try e3 games thing.

Decent chance: a late port of a 3rd party title like GTA5.

Moderately possible? The new Zelda. Reggie likes Zelda, the crowd on hand would like Zelda, Reggie's been doing a bit more of the announcements lately, Zelda is a western-focused game, and the timing is about right now that WWHD has been out for a couple months. That would qualify as dropping the bomb.

Unlikely but possible: some new IP that they hope will draw a bunch of attention to Wii U.

Absolutely

I doubt it, but it would be interesting to see.

After that they just need released Sword art online or .hack//The World to achieve world domination!

Amen to that, VR is a stupid concept anyways

VGX's target demographic is Mountain Dew drinking teenagers and early college age males.

Bayonetta and X fit that crowd perfectly, I'd expect those, maybe something a new look at Smash too.

We haven't seen anything new on X or Bayonetta 2 since E3 last June, so it makes sense to show something now. X needs to get an actual official title too, lol.

I agree with you.

Stretching it a bit, It could even be the reveal of a new Metroid, but I doubt it.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I'm just hoping for an SSB trailer, that's all. Probably won't get that though.
