Forums - Gaming Discussion - If you do not like a game, do you push through until the end, or quit?

Title says it all.

In my gaming experience of about 15 years, I usually hate quiting games. If I do not like them, I normally try ot push through. More recently I've quit a couple of the following games:

*Halo CE Anniversary- Never got into the game, quit for 3 months, felt guilty and finished it.

KH: DDD- Since I never played the other iterations, just quit this one after 5 hours because I couldn't relate to the story, never went back.

SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked- Liked the story, but didn't like the gameplay, never went back to it.

Blue Dragon- Felt pretty guilty still to this day sometimes about this one. Got to disc 3 and suddenly stopped, never went back.

Star Ocean The Last Hope- One character pissed me off with her voice, and never got into it; barely gave it a chance with ~3 hours, never went back.

Assassins Creed 3- Gameplay put me to sleep... never looked back.

This is all I can think of for now. Do you have any games you just quit? Ever feel guilty? Leave your thoughts below, and lock if re-posted.

I hate to leave games unfinished but sometimes it happens.

It happened to me with Valkyria Chronicles. I played some chapters and it felt like a chore. I left it in my collection gathering dust for quite some time now. I think I'll never try again the game.

Jak 2, it destroyed the franchise for me. A more "mature" look and that lame "GTA influence" turned me off.

I also have more examples but I can't remember them all.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

Deus Ex Human Revolution, not saying is bad I just got bored after 3 hours and sold the game.

recently i just push through it till the end. just so i can add another game to my "games i finished" list. if the game is unbearable then i would leave it though

The only games I have ever dropped out of have been:

- Xenoblade
- Rayman Origins
- Assassin's Creed II

Not bad games, but I was too bored to continue.

Depends what other people say about it.

If it's a very well reviewed game, I'll push on and see if I change my mind. If not, I'll just drop it.

I tend to finish it. That way I can say it sucks because of A,B,C ... Z. Lately I've been really busy, so I've put a few down in the interest of other things, but I'll revisit them soon after. The worst games I own are RAGE and Duke Nukem Forever, and they're playable in my opinion.

If the game is bad I'll just put it in my "do not touch" pile. If it is good I'll revisit it later.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Depends if I payed for the game or not.
