ive not played any of the persona games, any good are they a time sink?

Well for a general 1st playthrough P4G was 50 hours for me. So the game really can take a long time, especially for a Plat.

As for quality Metacritic (and many fans) will tell you its one of the best JRPG series ever

It looks like I won't be picking up a PS4 anytime soon. So glad it's coming out on a console instead of a handheld, but it's a long wait!
