It's funny coming back to such threads later, 3DW will eventually go on to sell well and the doom sayers will improvise some excuse for their posts when someone bumps this. I remember when people where going on about how Galaxy sold less then Sunshine at launch.

Just looked at the sales of the U, according to this site it's sold 270k in Japan which means a third of the userbase bought 3DW and at 21k only the two handhelds outsold it last week, some people have actually jumped the gun here.

I think you're looking at the wrong data, lol. Wii U has sold about 1 million in Japan. A hardware bump to 21k is fairly mediocre. 

The Wii U is at 1.19 million as of 3D World release week (media create).  I have no idea where you have gotten 270k from.  It's position relative to other hardware is the same as it was last week.  Don't think anyone expected the PSP, Wii, or 360 to outsell it, and the PS3 has been in the 10-13k range for ages.

I looked at the wrong region numbers, PS3 has been 10k for years those are the average console numbers in Japan, sales have ben like that for years in the eatern console market why do think Sony have left Japan to last for the PS4.

America: 150'000; Alright
EU: 80'000; ...Semi-bad
Japan: Horribly horrible.

Seems as though my Japanese predictions were right on the money!
