"selling only on one platform"

He could be singling out exclusives.

Doesn't sound like it to me. He says "games" and on one platform. So he means CoD on PS4, CoD on X1, GTA on X1, GTA on PS4 etc.

Maybe. Or maybe he meant exclusives. We won't be sure unless someone asks him for clarification, and I doubt that will happen. Till then though, we can't conclude decisively what he actually meant.

If Wii U picks up very well and starts itself off, then Mario Kart has a good chance. Comparing Mario Kart to MKDD is kinda pointless because the brand has gotten much bigger compared to how it was back then. With good advertising, Mario Kart can do very well.

He also said a large install base will attract 3rd party support. I wouldn't trust this man.

How is that not true? The reason 3rd parties are not focusing on the wii u is because they can't gain much out of it due to the small size of the install base. Unless of course you believe the idea that the wii U isn't powerful enough for 3rd parties. Funnily enough the best looking game on next gen consoles is easily WWHD. Devolves are just lazy and would rather not have to spend time making the game look and run better on a wii u. This will change tho if the install base is larger.

It's a morton's fork, basically. As long as they don't have a large install base, they have a good reason for saying why they're not getting third party support (and then explaining why they abandoned the Wii direction).

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

No, it's hard to see the console selling above 30m lifetime right now (obviously he thinks it's going to soar past that) so his predictions on the software are just as optimistic.

Mario kart will do well, but GTA, COD, Assassins Creed, Halo, GT and franchises we don't even know about yet will all surpass 10m.

He should of said top 10 exclusives, and switch it to top 25

He's right. 3D World is one of those games that will find its way into every Wii U owner's library. Even if the Wii U only sells 25 Million lifetime, 10 million of those buyers will own 3D World.

there's a high chance of him being right for 3D World and Kart. as for Smash, that depends, WiiU version only or both?

No, 3D World is definitely impossible (3D Mario on Wii didn't even reach this gen's top 10). The only one that remotely has a chance is Mario Kart, and that is only if WiiU can sell 20m or more.

Like 3D Land on 3DS, 3D World isn't your typical 3D Mario game.  It's in 3D but plays like a 2D Mario game.  It's really accessible and inviting.  We were playing four player a few hours ago and everyone loved it.  Mario games like Galaxy, Sunshine, and 64 are intimidating.  3D World and 3D Land aren't intimidating.
