PS4 & PlayStation Vita Ultimate Bundle coming in December

New hardware bundle to launch before Christmas.

UPDATE: An image of the bundle, pictured above, has been discovered in this week's issue of MCV, confirming a December release. Sony has yet to confirm a price.

ORIGINAL REPORT: Sony is set to introduce a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita Ultimate Bundle before Christmas, bundling both pieces of hardware together in a single package, MCV reports.

A price and release date for the bundle has not been released, nor has Sony formally announced the package. VideoGamer.com has contacted SCEE for comment.

Rumours of a PS4 & PS Vita bundle first appeared this summer after website Inside Gaming Daily claimed to have been told that a bundle will release "at the end of the year" for "around $500" (~£325).

PlayStation 4 launches in the UK next Friday, November 29.

UK retailers GAME introduce a PlayStation 4 Ultimate Bundle to be priced at £599.96

UK retailer Game.co.uk have started taking pre-orders for the next bundle that they will be offering which includes both the Playstation 4 and the PS Vita at a price of £599.96. The pre-order page can be found here.

The pre-order bundle consists of a PlayStation 4 console itself, a PS Vita Wi-Fi (sadly not the 3G version), a 14 day trial for PS+ along with 4 games – Knack for the PlayStation 4 and Little Big Planet, Tearaway and Lego Marvel Super Heroes for the Playstation Vita. A 16GB memory card is also included for the Vita which will be sufficient to download the 3 vita games, along with other free games available with a PlayStation plus subscription. Game have guaranteed the bundle pre-orders for Christmas.

The vita bundle is also available as a stand alone bundle and is currently retailing at only £169.99. You can find that here.

It’s not known if this is an official Sony bundle or just a Game exclusive.

If they sell it for 500 its an insane pitch at Microsoft.

Why get kinect when you can get a portable console and a more powerful home console. Mind blowing.

With that said, i think 550 is more realistic. Since the PS4 is virtually sold out, Sony can bring out these bundles and sell them out aswell and some Vitas on the process.

Damn, only week away and I don't know what to do, if the price will be right, and that bundle would come to Poland I would be willing to get that instead of my Vanilla PS4. Any word which Vita model will be bundled, 1000 or 2000?

I'll wait, this is the one for me (i'll have like 20 psvita games ready for download from PSN+). Now add a PS4 game, a ds4 & the camera and for 600euro we got a deal
