Really? It just looked like QTEs to me with zomfg graphics
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
No a game like Alan Wake with an 82 metacritic is underrated, or a game like Lost Odyssey with a 78 metacritic is underrated. Ryse is just bad if we're talking metascores.
But give it a try for yourself you might like it, maybe not.
If I was geting a x1 I would have got this game I hope it comes tp the ps4 you can't go by reviews
VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3
Judging by the reviews, renting it or waiting till it's cheaper would be the best options.
I'm signing in for the first time in awhile to say how stupid these type of threads are.
Time for hype
I'm going to give it a shot at least. I enjoyed Knack and look how it was perceived by most reviewers. I do take issue with the lack of punishment for failure in combat. That's why I favor Ninja Gaiden so much. I would excuse all of Ryse's other faults, but not that one. That would easily lead to boredom.
Playstation = The Beast from the East
Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS
I will probably get in anyways. From the reviews I get that it gets a bit generic in the hack-n-slash department but I have no problem with that.
Not to kick a horse when its down, but looking at the trailer back in E3, the game (to me) never looked hot to begin with - not talking graphics. The combat was dull, basic and very derrivative. With the vid doc's that followed.. focusing on chaining combos and executions to get the best "flow", set off alarm bells to many.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they put more effort in making the game look good, rather than the actual game mechanics. And remember, this is from the developer whos CEO went on record stating that graphics are 60% of a games experience.. says it all really.
