If the Spurs win tonight this series is over, I expect the Heat to comeback with a vengeance and tie this series.

Hahaha! I love this one :D

I am by no means a LeBron fan but the hate (or at least, the joking) about him sitting out due to a leg cramp is just terrible. Has nobody ever had a serious leg cramp before? Your muscle is involuntarily spasming. Your leg literally doesn't work when that happens. You can't move, and it's something you have to just ride out because strenuous activity on it will just aggravate it more. Scratch that, you wouldn't even be able to do strenuous activity because you'd be immobilized.

So all the crap about "LeBron quit because of a cramp, but: Jordan scored 38 with the flu; the guy died on the hockey bench but still wanted to play; Kobe stood up with an achilles tear; etc".....all nonsense. And btw:

Oh my gosh, thank you! I bet everyone crying about LeBron leaving the game never played anything more physically demanding than Checkers. If you've ever had a muscle cramp up on you, you would know that there is literally nothing you can do with it. Have you ever fallen asleep awkwardly on your arm, and then woke up to find that not only did it not work, but you couldn't even feel it, as if you were handicap? And then as it's waking up, it feels like acid is shooting through your veins? Imagine that feeling of your nerves on fire, multiplied by several degrees, and take away any ability to voluntarily move that limb while it occasinally hiccups. That's what a muscle spasm is like.

Hamstring cramps are one of the worst you can get if you are playing any sport where you are running. You cannot stretch out your hams so when they start to cramp, you just have to ride it out.  Your hams lock up tight and any movement compounds the pain.  It was bound to happen that Lebron hams would shut him down because he kept trying to play.  It would have been better if he left and had those hams massage before the locked up on him because once that happen its game over.  Once Lebron teammates had to carry him to the bench he was done.  His hams went into lock down and he was not going to recover from something like that until hours later and a lot of fluids.

The problem with trying to compare a ham cramp to a rupture Achilles is that when you rupture your Achilles you can still move and you do not feel the same pain until the blood starts to swell up.  I pulled a Achilles and it was not until the following day where I could not even move or stand on it.  Its really sad when people make jokes about things they have no clue about.  It really make them look bad more then the person they are trying to mock.

I'm not really trying to mock LBJ, as I'm not a hater, it's just that I really miss Kobe and his mamba mentality and this brought back just what killer instinct he has :) It's been too long with no Mamba in the Playoffs :( To me there is no comparison in this case, Kobe is just like MJ, while LBJ, though being an incredible player easily of their caliber, just somehow misses this "thing".

The Spurs play like crazy. The best quarter in the history of the Playoffs. The best half in the history of the Playoffs. Dayum! Go Spurs!

I don't think Melo joining the Heat is a good move. That would kill any kind of bench they have and they would have too many guys demanding the ball on court. He should stay in NYK, which should pair him up with Love. Heat on the other hand should finally find a decent big guy.

Kobe could have started playing around feb of this year but he quitted on his team and his fans. He is many things, but he is not like MJ who actually came back from a very serious injury in '86 and stilil willed his bulls to the playoffs

Well Jordan was 6 and 0 in the finals so pretty much no one remebers those stomache cramps he had in those finals especially since he followed it up with a super clutch performance while battleing the flu.  Looks like LeBron will soon be 2 and 3 in the finals which isn't exactly stellar.  But if the big three can turn into the big four with Mello than by the time he is done his finals record might end up being somewhat respectable.

What you are saying is crazy talk.  Just making it to the finals with 2 different teams is a great accomplishment.  Having 2 rings in a row puts you in elite status.  People continue to forget that basketball is a team sports not one individual.  Even Jordan did not do it alone or any of the great players.

True you definetly can't blame LeBron for loosing this time arround he is petty much the only player from the Heat that actually showed up.

Well this series is pretty much over. I think this Spurs squat can actually do something none of the others could do and repeat.

Go Spurs!

I definitely was not expecting a win tonight. Considering the Heat's postseason Home record and their (near?) perfect record for games after playoff losses, this was the most surprising win for the Spurs. Would be epic if they can win the championship in 5 games in San Antonio.

Though I kind of feel sorry for Lebron, especially the third quarter where he scored 19 of the Heat's 21 points. Must suck to watch your Championship run end while literally doing everything you can.

All that money between the big 3 of the heat, and Lebron is the only one earning it. His supporting cast sucks. I hope he opts out and moves to a team with a solid squad that he can help turn the corner and win a few more titles. I know a lot of people love to hate the guy, but I think he's a classy guy, and I hope he gets a few more titles before he hangs it up. Congrats to the spurs too, they are a very good team, and are a shining example of what it means to be a team.

Well this series is pretty much over unless the Heat can muster some miracle.

Those White Walkers err... I mean Spurs are just something. ^^

Oh yeah! A crazy idea just crossed my mind. People are talking about Melo joining the big 3 in Miami. How about LBJ joining Melo in NYK and inviting Love to the party as well? Now THAT would be a team. Especially with a legit big guy in Ty Chandler. I believe Jackson would know how to add extra crew around these guys to win a couple of championships.

Quitted on his team and fans? Don't think so. If anything, he understood his position, the fact that he got right back a couple months earlier and only managed to play a couple of games before going down for extra months. He's old, he needs more time than he used to to recover. On top of that the team had zero chances of making the Playoffs, not even MJ would will them to PO in this Western Conference. On the other hand, now they have the 7th pick and may get a good player to help a totally healthy Kobe next season. At this age he has to pick his battles and I totally understand this decision.
