I thought I would have gotten a reply for my comment about the N64.

I did! Well, indirectly. I'm curious about the ranking.

Gamecube and N64 two way tie. I clocked more hours on the GC than PS2 despite having significantly more games on the PS2, and I had a lot of great memories with friends on the N64. Plus, it had great games too.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

The WII was probably my most favourite nintendo console.

Edit: Anyone here know why the "nintendo xbox" is even an option on the poll ?

Gamecube = SNES > NES = Wii > N64

Wii and N64. Both equally.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

My favorite is the Gamecube: F-Zero Gx and Zelda Wind Waker blew my mind. Great collection of sports and multiplayer games. Donkey Konga ! 1080 Avalanche! Tales of Symphonia !

Still... the NES still brings me sweet memories...

Well, in my mind SNES is the best Nintendo console -- arguably the best console period -- but my personal favorite is N64. So many of my favorite games appeared first on N64: Ocarina, Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Kazooie, MLB featuring Ken Griffey, Jr., Extreme-G, Turok, Perfect Dark, etc.

For those who ranked N64 last, do you mind if I ask why?

Overall I just don't really like anything about the 64. I really dislike the controller and overall I just didn't really care much for the games it had to offer, especially compared to the major selection the SNES had. No game really wow'd me on the console except for Banjo Kazooie, even the big shots like Mario 64 and OOT I felt were pretty halfed baked and at times just not fun to play.

The difference between N64 and Gamecube for me was the controller was infinitely better and the games were fun to play now instead of fighting with the technology.

SNES, by far.

Featured some of my all time favourites.. LOZ: A Link to the Past, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country and Contra 3 (to name a few).

The controller could definitely be an issue, no doubt. At any given time, you were only using two thirds of the controller.

But I have to disagree about the games. Ocarina and Mario 64 are, to me, the two best games of the generation. Add in the contributions from Rare, Acclaim, Factor 5, and AKI, and you've got a great library of games.

Glad to hear you liked Banjo, though :)

It's just everything about the console really, from the games, to the controller, to the use of cartridges.

Even the DOA Saturn seemed to get more and better multiplats, and as for the exclusive games, I can't think really think of anything that would crack my top 20, or possibly even my top 50. :/
