Looks like this is one game that can't Ryse above mediocrity.

I think CryTek needs to face the reallity... they are great making game engines but a trash making games.

No, they are not. Unless you think Batman AA, AC are bad.

It´s just repetitive. Only sword and shield (and spear).

They should have include of other game play mechanics. But it´s a console release game, first time Crytek went with a rack-and-slash, it started as a 360 Kinect game.

PS: Why do you have this fixation in downplaying the technical aspects of this game, that even the unfavored reviews say it´s fantastic? Why note stic to the facts that is not well written and paced?

The Polygon video is almost only negative stuff, almost painful just to watch because of that. Hollow game, boring game, rinse repeat.

When it comes to making games the are all flash and no heart Crytek has a real KNACK for it.

Well, considering that Crysis 2 has a meta score higher than any PS4 game (- Rosegun), and Crysis 3 (a 5 hours campain, and recicled MP) has meta score higher than Killzone Shadow Falls...

One could tell that Guerrilla Games needs to face teh reallity...

I'm sure the people playing Ryse would have appreciated a few left or right turns throughout the game rather than a game where your on more of a fixed path than Final Fantasy 13.

And unlike FFXIII it does not get better later on.
