The thing to keep in mind is decibels is a logarthmic scale. What this means is the PS4 is acually several times louder than Xbox One up close (53db vs 43db is actually a huge difference)

It doesn't quite work like that. Your perception of sound is not logarithmic matching the decibel scale. If you look at loudness comparison charts library whisper at 6 ft distant is ~30dB and normal conversation at 3ft distance is ~65dB. According to the dB scale that's about a 2500 fold difference (30dB diff = 1000x, and every ~3dB is ~double). But our perception of the difference in loudness between a library whisper and normal conversation is not that normal conversation is 3000 times louder than a whisper. And PS4 at max up close sound is less than normal conversation at 3ft. And at normal playing distance both consoles are closer to a library whisper than to normal conversation.
I would say sound difference is a non-issue.
The thing that concerns me is operating temperature. There's not a huge difference, but PS4 does run hotter and it's got less ventilation. So it will be important to keep PS4 well ventilated, and even put up on little blocks so there is airflow top sides and bottom. And keep the vents frequently vaccuumed.
