Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Demos are out. Are you impressed with X1 voice commands responsiveness?

I honestly don't think it was that bad. If I do get an xbox one kinect will not be plugged in so I guess this is nothing to me. It's a shame I have to pay for it when I really do not want it. Guess I will wait for the price to come down.

It works Great!       Unless your this guy.

It actually works better in the video you posted than in other video's I've seen. Still, I've yet to see any voice control system that works like you'd think it would. I'd probably try it for oh...an hour or so, and then just use the controller.

P.S. This is working for him about...what? 75% of the time? 80% of the time? Which is ok, but he's alone. What happens when you have two or three other people in the room? Maybe having a conversation? Good luck.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Its like the super computer in 2001: Space Odissey, it refuses to do it because it got so smart that it decided not to follow commands from people

Well, the many "testers" and reviewers used quite a lot of false commands.

And after watching some videos from consumers like those that Azerth posted on the first page I am impressed.

Sell me an Xbox One without the Kinect plz.

Im not that impressed with the kinect controls... One of the reasons I got the ps4 first. Still, the system is just launching, they have an entire generation to fine tune it and make it better!

What are you guys talking about? I just re-watched the first 3 minutes of the IGN demo, there were 15 commands, 8 only were successful. It missed fucking 7 commands out of 15.

Sell me two Kinects without the Xbox One, plz.

Looks like pretty much everything else voice related I've tried. It never works completely as it should.

To add insult to injury, this isn't even possible outside of English speaking countries and likely never will be in the smaller countries. Google has Icelandic support, though :O

this,  and exactly why i hate voice commands.  i've never met a voice service percise enough to make me use it a second time.
