Forums - Gaming Discussion - Which next-gen exclusive will have a bigger impact?

which game?

Infamous 90 36.59%

Titanfall 156 63.41%

Total:246

Just like the title says: between Infamous and TItanfall, which game will have a bigger impact.

On one side, you have Infamous which has never been a big seller, but Sucker Punch has always put out a quality product. This game also has the fortune of being the Ps4's first major exclusive after launch, and it is bundled with the console. It will no doubt have a massive advertising campaign to build hype.

On the other side, there is Titanfall, the game developed by the people that started MOH, then left EA, and started Cod, that's an impressive resume lol. To say that this game looks fun would be an understatement, the parkour and mechs make this game stand out from other fps. Also the fact the this game, like Infamous will be the first big exclusive on it's respective console to hit next year, and the fact that EA is publishing, means that we will probably see a huge ad campaign.

OP note: I know that TItanfall is available on pc and x360, but i'm only refering to next-gen consoles.

So which game do you think will have a bigger impact????

Titanfall is a shooter, but at the same time it is launching on the pc/360 removing some buys and giving less of an incentive to pc owners to get a x1.

I pick titanfall but infamous has the potential to do as well due to it being solely on the ps4.

true, if i was Microsoft, i would've tried to have the game only on xbox one. Also i think that it will sort of compete with Cod on the console. Infamous should be the best selling game in the series, there has been nothing but positive comments about it, and by the time it releases the ps4 owners will be ready for some new games.

I am not trolling. Nor I am mocking. Can someone explain the definition of "exclusive"?

Titanfall, its a shooter and a very fun looking one at that. Infamous won't even come close to half of titanfall's numbers. I'm planning to get it on PC.

Intel core i7 930 OC @ 4.0 ghz

XFX Double dissipation Radeon HD 7950 356 bit 3gb GDDR5 OC @ 1150 MHz core + 1575 x 4 memory

Triple channel DDR 3 12gb RAM 1600 MHz

It's not a really fair comparison. You have a brand new IP vs the 3rd sequel to a game. Infamous should benefit from a lead in of fans.

But TitanFall is easily the most buzzed next gen and most talked about new IP in years. Less than 4 months and we can see if it lives up to it's hype.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

As for impact and experience, I voted Infamous because it is only being developed for next gen, not current gen, and it is not another shooter, which is a vastly oversaturated market. Even though excellent shooters come out like Metro Last Light, they still get dominated by your general terrible shooters like almost all COD releases, so sales-wise Titanfall will win.  That being said, hopefully Titanfall will be excellent, like some early MOH and COD releases were.

By exclusive, i mean exclusive to next-gen, just like the title says...

Its a fact that shooters sell way better on home consoles. Not counting bundled games. But I can see billions of hours going into Titanfall worldwide. Can't say the same for Infamous
