Didnt realise the 3DS had a game coming out like yoshi's island. That was one of my fav games on the snes.

EDIT: Okay fine. I'll answer your post. Celebrations are done when there's something to celebrate. If it were only because of a game coming out, you could name every year a Mario year and 2009 a Metroid year and so on.

But 2013 was officially declared "Year Of Luigi" by Nintendo because of the his anniversary. There are some special Yoshi date next year?

Of course more Yoshi games are a good thing, but I'm actually waiting to see when they will do a new F-zero and Starfox (not counting the 3DS remake, I'm talking about a new one).

Is Yoshi Wii U even confirmed for next year? Its probably too early in development and that is why we havent seen anything since january. I bet its a 2015 release.
